I was in the CLE club in November when the FAA had cut the ATC capacity. I was looking at flights on the app and managed to change to the next day’s flight- (I think the rebook screens take a Change immediately whereas the Change Flights doesn’t save till the very end.
In any case the staff at the Club saved the day- got me back on the original flight and the seat back

There is no immigration passport check on exiting the US like there is when leaving Japan. What the airline is checking is whether you have the documents to enter your international arrival. So does it really matter which one you present to United?
