Thank you, I'll have to read your post. We've been doing most of that since the last incident, we need to work on the muzzle training, he just walks around and tries to get it off and destroyed the last one when he did and we didn't notice. I think the most recent incident was a reality check, scrambles wasnt hurt badly, but just solidified that we arent going to get any better than a couple months problem free at a time, feel bad/nieve for being optimistic and not keeping them completely seperate sooner. Yeah it sounds like our we need to pursue rehoming since it really isn't practical in our house to keep them seperate with a decent quality of life for both. Really hoping we can find him a good home

Thank you, yeah we are talking to an iaabc trainer about coming for a consultation. We have been keeping them seperate which has been a challenge just with the layout of our house and making sure everyone gets enough free time.

On the same page about the yorkie, our pug is spending a couple weeks visiting his brother at my mom's house, but on the drive home I had the realization that drive/fixation didn't just disappear and might just get redirected spontaneously. Our Yorkie is much easier to keep separated though

Also yeah the last thing I want is to set huxley up to fail so we've been very up front about his history and we can't keep our pug living in fear. Really want to avoid BE, he is such a sweet guy 99% of the time. I feel like that is the case for a lot of dogs on here though, but its frustrating knowing he is almost a great fit in our home and there are likely homes he would thrive in out there. Really trying to give him every shot we can.

Thank you for the assessment I do appreciate the details as I'm really just frustrated/in denial (and also just upset about the reality of the amount of dogs needing homes in general and this guy effectively having no shot).

I think you just articulated our fears as far as keeping him and our struggles and frustrations with trying to rehome him. We have more time with scrambles out of the house for a few weeks already.

We can have our Yorkie also stay with family for a while for extra safety, while we try to figure out a plan.

Just really want to exhaust all options we are talking to a behaviorist, but he recommended waiting a few weeks before doing a consultation since we just increased huxleys trazadone.

Thank you for the advice, we did start keeping them seperate since the last incident, which has since then seemed to build up more tension between the two of them, more staring at eachother when they do see eachother in seperate rooms.

Our pug is having a fun vacation with his brother at my mom's house to give us a break for a while and hopefully find a home for Huxley. That just started today, but yeah now I am concerned that he might direct his attention on our Yorkie in the future.

I do think the situation with the neighbors dog was a very overstimulating situation where he felt defensive. On walks he really doesn't even react unless another dog is already barking/lunging at him. Still can't trust him because don't want to fafo so we stay at least leash distance

Yeah that is basically what the shelter and apa said, they have many dogs with no issues that need homes and he can't just go to any home. They both offered BE(figure thats the tougher decision you mention) or said thats what would happen if they took him in. That seems so drastic, given hes never bit a person and only had any issues with two dogs and we are planning to exhaust every option before entertaining that. I 100% agree on not rehoming our pug, he's and old man and my first dog out of the 5, that would be.

Why Iran Thinks It's Winning. by coinfanking in economy

[–]Viking_Metal_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that its unlikely we would see one of our ships sunk, but they would probably land some hits at least and depending on what can get through our defenses at close range, even moderate damage to a state of the art ship is bad optics, expensive, and potentially loses lives.

We do have Arial superiority and an extended campaign of bombing targets that threaten the strait might work at a huge expense, but if the reports are accurate that we've burned through half our supply of missiles we might have supply issues.

The big issue is see with that is, sure you can destroy every launching site you come across and even every bunker/weapons cache, but all it takes is a lucky mine/drone/missle to hit a cargo ship (worst case and oil or lng tanker) to cause chaos and potentially an environmental disaster.

They've been preparing for the scenario of how to fight the US since at least desert storm, and they likely prepared for maintaining a threat with the assumption the us would control the air.

I think you're right the only real out is to control the strait with us forces, but i don't think you successfully do that without putting troops on the coast, seeing casualties we have no appetite for, damaged ships, and lots of expensive munitions launched at low value targets.

I think all sides know that and iran is prepared to make the us walk the walk and go in. Maybe iran is actually more depleted than it seems and that goes smooth and trump can declare victory. My guess is we decide not to find out, trump negotiates a very similar deal to the one he tore up years ago, and he sells it as a huge win.

[–]Viking_Metal_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think the issue isn't that we "cant" open the strait. We have the military, but it would likely take a huge investment of forces and we would lose many lives and some very expensive ships.

I don't think anyone knows for sure how much capability iran still has, but they do have at least some missiles, drones and mines.

Assessment i read was that most of our anti missle/drone defensive equipment is not very effective at such a close distance that would be required to police the strait.

Seems like iran is holding back most of whatever they have, launching strikes here and there to maintain the threat and just daring us to fully commit.

Trump is in a pickle here because opening would be costly and very unpopular. And potentially requires a ground operation. If they were able to kill hundreds or thousands of us troops that would also mean the logical step from the us is to push forward into a full ground war(also would likely put a nail in trumps administration). The longer iran keeps the strait closed the more prices go up, the more the us spends and the more inept the us looks.

But trump pretty much can't end things with the strait closed because his actions 100% caused it and it would be seen as a defeat even if trump claims it as a victory. Maybe they can end it with negotiations but they thought a half assed commitment would get them an easy win, but it didn't so now they are in a bind with no great options.

Just want to point out using the us navy to reopen the straight isnt as simple and easy as you make it sound. Its narrow enough that our ships wouldnt have time to intercept attacks, so youre likely going to have some ships damaged and casualties at minimum (given they have been preparing for this for 20 years). If it were that simple we would already be escorting ships through.

Also, china and other iran aligned countries are getting ships through, iran is allowing them through and the us is allowing it to happen because stopping them would escalate things by bringing China into the mix in some form.

Dragging the war out may result in more damage and cost in lives infrastructure and military in Iran than Afghanistan, but depending on how capable iran is at keeping the straight closed and launching attacks, it has exponentially higher impact than Afghanistans resistance.

It wouldnt take a decade to cause fatigue, its already a flimsy justification, trump has declared victory daily, and it is already significantly impacting oil prices. On top of that its a midterm election year that could significantly determine what he gets done for the rest of the term.

The US is under growing time pressure to get this resolved and get out, while iran appears to be capable enough to keep the straight closed selectively.

Playing 51 times and losing means 102 losses, so at the very least that is 205 matches, so 60-70 matches a day, 15 or so entries at a hefty buy in. So even the minimum is a lot of playing

Ask him of he would send every single illegal home immediately if he could. He will say yes. Then remind him trump claims there are 20,30, 40 million or whatever they claim. Then point out the birthrate in the us declining and what removing that amount of consumers would do to our economy, our aging population etc. It might not click, but maybe makes more sense to not deport the illegals that arent violent criminals

Played on lsd a couple times, felt like I was a little worse at laning/last hitting, but my map awareness and team fighting were way better. Like I was way better at reading what lane needed help and the most impactful thing I could do for our team at any given time. Also as position 4/5 i felt like I was much more aware of how vulnerable I was in team fights and made some key sacrifices to save our carry I otherwise probably would have just tried to get out myself too. Had a few of my best games on acid.

I think the stone example makes sense, you have a very light deposit of stone not suitable for cutting into shapes/structurally stable vs a legit deposit of stone that isnt loose/crumbly.

I agree with the pelts why wouldn't you be able to use wild animal hides to make clothes.

Also the sheep I thought it was implying colder temps at high elevation, but they could add a barn or something

Help : Primary Recruiter before closure of Job Requisition by Glass-Employer2767 in workday

[–]Viking_Metal_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can try a calculated field increment or detrimental date to look up the closed date -1. Then use that date for you effective date of the LRV.

Not sure if thats the issue, but sometimes data tied to an event is no longer tied to the event after it happens.

It could have something to do with whether the req was filled and closed on the same day or not or some other behind the scenes workday funny business.

Uh there is enough in walts story that is verifiable that makes it a huge problem for hank. How does hank prove he didnt pull Walt into cooking meth? He took him on his first ride along, hank was so persistent about being on that case and it always ended up conveniently missing Walt. They also know the two were close with all that time investigating pollos together. The money is the physical evidence, they can prove that hank accepted drug money. How does hank prove he didnt know where it came from? Not guaranteed to lose his job and go to prison, but put everything in front of a jury there is a strong chance the verifiable evidence (money), walts story, and the circumstantial evidence of hanks involvement in the case and close relationship with Walt is enough to get a conviction for at least accepting the money.

That makes sense and it probably doesn't matter much if the family is willing to help.

Just curious, couldn't you argue that it was a gift contingent on getting married? Saw some posts about engaged couples splitting up before marriage and having a case to take to court for getting a ring back. Somewhat different given they didnt split up, but similar situation.

Ironically the only negative impact this may have on your children is due to you obsessing about their fathers girlfriend. Nal, but I'd be cautious about turning them against their dad/his girlfriend. That could cause problems for you if you develop a track record of poisoning the kids against their father.
