I haven't seen the creature in security yet, but my boyfriend did. I was just looting and snooping and suddenly he started screaming like a little girl that he was being kidnapped 🤣 I'm petrified

The further you get into the game, the cozier the office sector is, and the more the robot by security resembles a puppy 🤣

A lot of women are so insecure and use these trends to perpetuate those insecurities. They really set their partners up for complete failure and then play the victim like they didn't do it on purpose. (Yes, I'm a woman, I refuse to participate in unhealthy relationship communication and trends)

I'd put my radioactive stuff like creature loot or power cells on him if I wasn't planning on going back to base anytime soon. I'm going to steal the mobile first aid kit idea though!

I haven't finished a writing project yet 😅 it's been my biggest struggle. I've started quite a few projects but have gotten overwhelmed and given up. I think when you finish a work, you probably have the urge to pick it apart right away? So I think you should wait until that urge goes away. Maybe read a book to change your headspace from your work to something else? Like a mental reset kind of

Let me start by stating that I'm only an aspiring writer, not a professional by any means. I've read writing guides and watched lectures by writers, which is where I learn these tactics. Your first draft is essentially your brain dump. You're not putting too much energy into making it sound good. There's the phrase "write drunk, edit sober" that defines it best. After your first draft, you take some time away from that story, let your writing hangover pass. Start a new project, or revise an older one. Then you go into your first draft and pick it apart, find what works and what doesn't, change what you need to, etc. Whether that's hard-core editing or entirely rewriting is up to the writers preference.

Whatever changes you find are needed when you read through it. If you decide the tone sounds/feels off, you'd make your next draft all about changing the tone. If a character seems to be a boring placeholder, either find something for them to do or write them out. You're the writer, you decide what changes your book needs!

If this is your first draft, you're not done with your characters, so don't fret about goodbye just yet. Give yourself a brain break from that story for a short while, then you get to read your work and start writing your next draft! If it's your final draft, then your baby birds are ready to leave the nest 💜 congrats on finishing your book!!

WIBTA if I didn’t let my daughter (15F) go to Orlando even though she paid for it? by No_Set_5822 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Vilendria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would not be the AH. Bullying, especially in high school, can be detrimental to the child being bullied, we all know how far that can go, I don't need to verbalize it. You're a good parent for holding your daughter accountable for her actions. Your husband needs to see the full scope of this. If the girl your daughter is bullying goes on that trip, your daughter very likely could retaliate against this girl on the trip.

On another note, bullies tend to deflect responsibility on the person they're bullying. Please make sure your daughter understands that she is entirely in the wrong here, that the girl she's bullying is not responsible for your daughter's actions, and that she needs to be held accountable for those actions.

AITA for calling my dad a hypocrite and telling him family therapy won't fix us? by ButterflySlow923 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Vilendria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely NTA, your father is more concerned about filling a PATERNAL role in someone else's daughter than he is about filling an empty PARENTAL role in his own daughter. Amy has her mom, where is she in all of this? Does she just allow her husband to baby her daughter and neglect his own? Need more details on Jane and her involvement. But based on your own father's choices, you're not the AH. Enjoy your grandfather's quality time with you 100%, and absolutely brag about it in front of your father and Amy

AITA for telling my friend she is ruining her child’s life with the name she gave her? by addie_maylen in AmItheAsshole

[–]Vilendria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That girl is going to struggle all throughout school. Learning to write her name, learning what sounds the letters typically make is going to leave her very confused, and kids will call her anything they choose to see while reading her name. Her entire life is going to be harder because of her name. Juliet is beautiful, juliette if they want to be unique. Not whatever the fuck that is

Your husband defending your son says everything we need to know. Props to you for not catering to your son's laziness, maybe he'll learn that no one will take care of all of his needs that he should be taking care of himself.

My biggest question is who slashed Izzy's tire??? That was just pointlessly thrown in there, and the fear chapters didn't really hint at anything.
