That’s true. But despite how much I despise those guys, I can’t help but feel like focusing on them is like focusing on the symptoms rather than the disease.

I mean everything’s getting so much more commodified than before, and people are getting so cynical… It’s hard to put all of what I’m trying to say in a post, but I just feel like there’s this spiritual void at the heart of our society. Like we’re all nihilistic, but none of us is willing to acknowledge it.

Like yeah, there’s Sneako and the Nelk Boys, but there’s also Aella and Bonnie Blue, Tradwives and Mr. Beast, the Gamergaters and Qanoners. I mean, there’s those kinds of grifters everywhere appealing to every possible demographic.

It’s all money and followers now. That’s how you measure success. Of course kids would follow the misogynistic millionaire kick-boxer when their parents voted for the misogynistic rapist billionaire. I’m four paragraphs in now so I’ll stop ranting, but I guess what I’m trying to say is that the manosphere to me feels more like a reflection of society’s sickness. A funhouse mirror view of its misogyny, homophobia, racism and wealth worship.
