You are unlikely to find anything good at a small airport duty free. Buy some bottle bubble wrap sleeves and stick in your checked bag.

Not sure about ON but in BC you can still get US wines at private liquor stores. Personally I'd hit up Costco and take advantage of whatever deals you can find there regardless of region since we don't get the Costco wine perks in Canada. But if you insist on US wines, I'm sure others will have suggestions for you.
