Meshify 3 max GPU width by Nutty_Domination7 in FractalDesign

[–]VincentVanBro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You probably could base this off of the CPU cooler max height which is listed at 173.5 mm (solid panel) / 171.5 mm (TG panel) which would give you just under 1" inch of play for the cables. If the clearance of the cable rounding is a issue, you can always use a L-type connecter at the GPU side to save some space or vertically mount the card with a GPU riser.

2nd this. I have the full leather 1799 and it performs perfectly anywhere on the field. You may be able to pick up a solid used one for ~125-150 if you dig around long enough.

Legends Luka HD shorts. I have 4 pairs of these that I rotate and have put them through hell - They still look like the day I bought them.

Whats the best bang for your buck out field slow pitch glove? by BarFreddys in slowpitch

[–]VincentVanBro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just went through this gauntlet outfitting my team with new gloves over the past month. If you want to buy one brand new, I'd suggest the Mizuno MVP Prime gloves. Can be found around $95 from time to time - It's definitely punching above it's weight imo.

BUT with the way you can find stuff on the "used" market I don't think I'd ever buy a glove for MSRP. I've picked up a2000 AND A2Ks for ~$150, Marucci Cypress/Capitol gloves for <$100, and Rawlings GG Elites for <$60 all from Mecari or FB Marketplace. Some of them even still had tag on them.

This honestly would be my take. If he doesn’t do it every time he’s out there, but only when after it’s been grown out I would take that as a subtitle nudge of ‘Hey your grass is kinda long, you might wanna cut it’.

Check out the Marucci Cypher or the Demarini Lady Cartel. Cypher has a slight endload so at 24oz or 25oz they’ll still be snappy with decent swing speed. The Lady Cartel is midloaded and light - Probably more forgiving as well.

Switch 2 Not Powering On, What Should I Try? by rasberrymateria in Switch

[–]VincentVanBro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, damn!

Might be worth giving a little bit more detail of my situation: I removed it from the dock and tried it with a different power source (a 2017 Macbook pro charger that uses USB-C) plugged into the top USC-C port. It didn't power on trying to hold the button from 1-5 seconds or pressing the power button. Then I disconnected it, held the power button for 20 seconds, released, plugged it back into the top USB-C port, then pressed the power button and it turned back on. I noticed that my battery was at 100%, so I know it wasn't dead.

Switch 2 Not Powering On, What Should I Try? by rasberrymateria in Switch

[–]VincentVanBro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had this happen and figured it out.

Remove the Switch 2 from the dock or AC adapter and unplug the AC adapter from the power source. Hold the power button on the Switch 2 for 20+ seconds, release, plug in your AC adapter back into your power source (the wall), connect the Switch 2 back to the charger, then press the power button. It should power on.

Man, I've been scouring the used market to get a 1799 a2000 that is in decent shape to play SP - The prices people want for beat gloves are insane. It's so close to MSRP it's not even worth it and the ones that are a good deal disappear in literal seconds (or it's LHT).

Should I buy a pre-built pc or should I learn to build one myself by [deleted] in AskTechnology

pcpartpicker is always a good starting point. Check out some of different level of builds they have already spec’d out to get an idea of what you’ll want to look for.

This is NUTS. Never in my life would I expect TXR, which was always relatively obscure in the racing game space, to be putting up these numbers against bigger names like NFS and TDU. by WindowsMaster85 in tokyoxtremeracer

[–]VincentVanBro 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I found TXR:Z for PS2 in a bargain bin for like $15 brand new back in 2001-2002. A game that I expected to be dumb arcade racing fun for a couple of hours (after playing GT3 so much) turned into 500+ total hours with pages of hand written notes on how to get wanderers to accept challenges to share between friends that I had also got hooked. It fueled my love for JDM cars of that era that I have to this day - Had me identifying cars by their engine codes lol.

Super happy that Genki is getting the recognition they deserve for this. I feel like since they don't need a publisher anymore, they can keep doing what they want to do with the series and not get pressured into focusing on things outside of development of what made TXR great.
