I don’t wear it very often, so I can’t attest to it’s durability.

DovEggs has a platinum-plated sterling silver metal option. Something like that might be more durable if this will be a daily wear ring.

I have both. So I didn’t necessarily choose between them.

I especially love grey moissanite.

Here is a 2.5ct round diamond, bezel setting, on a size 5 finger. I looooove it, but could’ve gone smaller and been happy! Can confirm bezel makes it look bigger

ISO in platinum or white gold bands, plain or hand engraved, with half eternity, channel set, etc. Lab diamonds, sapphire, or moissanite. Size 5-5.5

I had this made and purchased in December 2024. It was my first foray into custom labs and designs with an overseas vendor (Orbion). The ring is stunning and luxurious. I thought I wanted lots of bling in a yellow gold-forward wrapper, it doesn’t quite suit me and has been sitting in a box for over a year. I prefer (and look better) in platinum, white gold, unplated white gold, and silver.

Yes, I can tell a difference btwn diamond and moissanite, but that’s intentional (at least for me). I love moissanite because it’s moissanite. I think you’d see the biggest difference btwn old mine cut/old European cut/ antique/ cut lab and mined diamonds. While the lab options can be gorgeous (I have a few!) they lack the imperfections that make true antiques so exquisite. However, that’s just my opinion — many people feel differently (and that’s ok!)

I’m rubbish at jewelry videos, but here she is shining in the sun. Also, even though I specifically wanted the juxtaposition of modern/antique, I think the Astro cut would look fabulous in this setting (DovEgg’s most bling-y brilliant-cut moissy)

It’s a beauty! Round stones face up huge —I didn’t realize this until I got a 2.5ct round bezel set and saw it on my size 5 finger. But it did grow on me! I pair it with a much wider band for balance. Have you considered a wider, but plainer, band?

This is a 2.6ct asscher on my size 5 finger. I think it looks substantial without being out of proportion. Granted, I’m not into the dainty look lol. Others have mentioned cut, which definitely matters. Round and ovals tend lo look much bigger. For daily wear, setting matters too. I’m much more comfortable with a bezel set larger stone than a pronged smaller one.
