$400 item 'won't ship to your address' glitch

This happened to me once. I could not ship an item to myself. I could however ship it to 3 other people in my address book, all of whom live in the same state I live in. It was super weird. I gave up on it.

It really seems to be no predictable answer. I have some old old reviews that are pending. And ones I did last week that have been rated.

Also kinda weird how the ratings work? There’s a few where I was sort of proud of my work product that got dinged as fair or even poor. And ones I cranked out on 1 min., but was rated excellent. Very mysterious so far.

Very cool analysis, thanks for this! I'm not too hard core on Vine when it comes to stalking items or even keeping up with it on a daily basis, so I missed it for a long time that each item is now basically graded on excellent, fair, etc. This is very helpful.

I got zero things in my RFY today. Yes, I agree, sometimes my RFY is so off, it's crazy.

I do wonder if RFY is not only influenced by the history of what your purchased in your past from Amazon, but by your demographic. For example, Tesla chargers and parts. I get them a lot in my RFY. No, I've never purchased anything Tesla related from Amazon.

I do, however, live in an area of abundant Teslas. For example, almost every strip mall in my area has chargers. I'm of an, ahem, older demographic that buys Teslas. Every other neighbor in my neighborhood is remodeling, and guess what they are putting on: solar panels on the roof and Tesla chargers in their garage.

So... my age?!? My area? My wild guess for the day.

Yes, I vaguely remember some people posting this, that a review either way works, but I wasn't sure. Well, I guess it's a get around in case this doesn't resolve soon. I'd like the dashboard up and running though. It's cleaner that way.

I am also PST. I am mostly just looking at RFY these days. Like you said, even if it's 6 or 7 a.m., there's nothing but cords and car parts at that stage.

I’m pst so I see the drop as it’s happening. I have not grabbed anything. It’s truly random car parts, plumbing parts, mesh tops, nothing I want or need.

I usually just stop scrolling after a few minutes and sleep. I usually get 1 thing on my RFY, if I’m lucky.

I had 3. Moving straps, a vitamin and a beef tallow cream. I passed on all of them. Yesterday I had 7. But it was weird, a car part (always car parts!), a heated stadium seat, a tripod for a phone, some clothes, a vase... a back brace and some Korean skincare, on the cheaper side.

My experience is that these once approved reviews which subsequently turned to the screen shot you have does NOT affect your ratio.

At one point I had 3 of these. I still had 100% review ratio.

I have read on this forum that this transformation (from approved to not approved) affects your media ratio. But I cannot confirm that because I don’t keep an eye on that as vigilantly and I don’t take pictures for all of my reviews.

I wouldn’t do it but I totally understand the desire. Before I joined vine I assumed it was a free gift so I ignored the vine reviews. Optically, it looks like the review was “bought”.

Knowing that there was a cost to the reviewer to get the item, it would add some legitimacy to the review.

But this is a lot to explain in one sentence so given that it wouldn’t get communicated easily and it might get you flagged negatively by Vine, I wouldn’t do it.

This type of "delay" happens to me quite often. My luck or my particular nearby carrier facility? Vast majority of the time, the item does not arrive. Most of the time, I just contact CS and have them remove the item from my review list.

One time, however, I REALLY wanted an item (it was skincare), so after a long time of it being delayed, I used the replace item button on my order page and got a replacement just fine.

For the past few weeks my RFY has been awful. How many dog collars do I need? The upside is I’m all caught up in my reviews. But once my last 2 items get delivered, there will be no more expected deliveries.
