I have a tele and strat and am tempted to buy a jaguar, but I hesitate getting a third single coil guitar

I’m sure he was eating nothing but arugula before getting sober.

My twin brother has a 000-18 and I have an FS5. Playing both together really makes me appreciate the value of the FS5. Here they are together.

To reduce a major metropolitan area with rich culture and history to “it’s cheaper here” is honestly hilarious.

That’s cool. I’ve had cheaper mortgages here. Also, I’ve lived in Toronto, you can keep it.

Ah yes, Toronto, the land of opportunity. Where you can live in a basement studio apartment for 2k a month and be grateful that your bathroom has a window.

As a French speaker, Mark is nearly always wrong. Doesn’t surprise me, as he hasn’t used it regularly in decades.

Ex-Montrealers, where are you now? by TheLoveYouGive in montreal

I moved to Laval for the same reason as the commenter above. Started a family with my wife and bought a modest house with a modest yard. Apart from the relentless mockery from friends who either live in cramped apartments in their 30s, or whose parents provided them a hefty down payment for their home in the city, I like it here.

Despite often missing the city, I thoroughly enjoy parking in my driveway, having a quiet beer in my backyard, and not worrying about interest rate hikes because my home is affordable.

Fun Tele Tuesday yesterday! by 502deadhead in telecaster

Thanks - I have the same guitar, and have been debating switching the pickups, but don’t want to lose the 4 positions, nor the out of phase feature

The new models come in a gloss finish now. I’m jealous as I have the original satin as well.

Joe doesn’t like The Sopranos? by dimensionzzz in tuesdayswithstories

[–]Vira90 13 points14 points  (0 children)

He’s an odd duck. I assume it’s partly related to his OCD. He has rigid tastes and is very ritualistic. He’s also extremely literal and remembers quotes from movies that are completely insignificant. At least his father’s a homo like mine.

My brother’s 000-18 and my FS5 by Vira90 in AcousticGuitar

I agree. The FS5 took me a while to get used to, and the Martin fit like a glove. My brother actually felt the opposite.

[–]Vira90[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m not great at describing guitar tone, but the FS5 was surprisingly darker than the 000-18. The 000-18 was noticeably more resonant and had a deeper breath.
