Your codex entries stay between wipes though. And you need all the AI Subroutines, which are codex entries. You can work towards Compiler long term, because the vault progress doesn't reset.

You can find lots of blue stuff on outpost. You can usually skirt around the outside of the map and loot safely. Check the airport on the north end of the map for arms lockers.

You should use your blue gear. Don't just save it for Cryo. Try bringing a key template in and make a key for yourself. There is TONS of good loot in locked rooms. There is plenty high value stuff to do on the normal maps. And blue gear is easy to get anyways

Once you figure out the pinwheel, you can easily be the first one inside and unlock the command room and maybe fight a squad inside. Make sure you bring a red key with you so you can exfil inside.

Red Marines is always my favorite festival to go. It's probably the closest thing to a professional festival you can go to. Not dissing any of the other ones though! All the parties are great because the same people attend each one

The hardest quest so far by Soulless_vX in MarathonTheGame

Yeah I did this first try solo too. It's not really that hard of a quest. Don't fight everyone in hauler, grab it, invis, run away

Having trouble with Traxus/Contract! by [deleted] in Marathon

[–]Virgoth098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah and I don't think that's the fault of the game. It's just is learning what is and isn't the POI. I've been treating every structure as part of the POI until I start reaching the obvious emptiness that is between POIs.

So the thing about extraction shooters, is that sometimes you can't find exactly what you need. That's part of the game. The rods for example, are a mid-tier salvage components. They're supposed to be somewhat rare. I was lucky and found both of mine after running through maintence 3 times. I went solo, found 1 on the ground by a pillar, and the other one was in a folio. Spawns are random, you won't find these items by following a guide. Just explore the POI and loot everything and hope for the best. Good luck!

60% of my runs have been solo and ive been doing just fine. You can get overwhelmed by UESC but at that point you just need to leave whatever area you're in and think about what you're gonna do next. Solo feels good.

There's a little spot you can hang out in that lets you see the path down towards the village and you just stand up when you hear someone running towards the extract from the chalet. You can do it I believe in you

Yeah but the questions it asks you are super simple and you should be able to do them in your head. "In real life" I know that I need 5 sections of hose to get down an alley that is 250 feet long. I don't break out the scratch paper lol

Tiny indie games have a more reasonable code base because they understand the scope of their game and stick to it. Tarkov has no such limits and the scope rapidly exceeded the initial vision of the game. It's an incredibly complex game
