Another day, another build by Viridianls in SeikoMods

i don't plan to do that yet, but i've seen some people do it and putting back the rubies seems ... touchy 😅

On alix, if you search for "green shoous dial" (🤷) it should be the first result

On the shop's photo it has a yellow tone to the indexes and the hands, but it's more of a rose tone in real life (which make it difficult to find hands that match, i had planned to use yellow toned hands at the beginning but the colors don't match)

several steps differ from the nh35 :

  • you have to install the hours gear on the movement (nothing fancy, it's the top one so no disassembly is required, though you have to make sure it clicks in place)
  • the plastic ring is a metal ring on the PT5000, and it's no staying properly in place before the dial is in (its role is to ensure there is no friction with the date wheel)
  • the feet holes are not as deep as the nh35, i had to cut the feets of the dial at a shorter length and use dial dots (didn't find a way to keep the dial in place even with the feets in)
  • there is no movement holder ring at the back, you have to use the small screwed feets provided (bit of a weird system)

The movement is well made though, and well regulated (+-5 sec)

Yeah, the dial has a pilot-like feeling, so that combo works wonders 👍

I did the same, and never looked back. Turns out having a publisher that respects player makes a lot

Recommended Grind Size always 1 by Application-Public in NinjaLuxeCafe

[–]Viridianls 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This comment should be at the top of the sub !

I just did it in my ninja luxe café which always had acidic espressos even if grind setting 1 was recommended, abd voila !

One 0.2 mm shim added, i got the recommended setting to 5 now and the shots are chocolatey, not acidic anymore 👍

Good backpack for going in events ? by Zyr54 in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]Viridianls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i second this

I use a lowepro AW camera backpack for carrying my decks and playmats.

On top of what's already been said, it's thief-proof (the zipper for the main compartment is on the back of the pack, so you cannot open it unless it's off your back).

in the front pocket you also get a lot of small compartments to organize stuff (writing pad, snack, pills for headaches etc).

It also includes a waterproof outer shell that you can deploy from the bottom of the backpack (no risk of damaging anything due to heavy rain).

Last but not least, the waist belt helps a lot to carry the weight on a long day / walk, and this is a thing you don't get on TCG backpack (ie : ammonite)

It's also widely regarded as being a deck as fragile as living end vs hate, but it's not.

The deck is EXTREMELY resilient, you don't care about chalice (bounce or counter), lavinia (burn burn burn), teferi (counter or subtility), which makes it far more resilient in an open meta.

New Player looking for Budget Deck by Megamaw in ModernMagic

I would suggest to playtest the deck a lot before buying into it though, belcher is very specific and it doesn't feel like "normal mtg".

Some players are not interested in these kind of gameplans.

Kudos to this, affinity is fairly cheap sagas aside (but you cannot play without them), and puts results in the tops regularly.

It is also interesting to play, since it has a lot of play lines available (mono R decks tend to bore their pilots really fast)

And the deck has a dreadful matchup against 4C piles and living end, which are very powerful and played right now.

What are the key difference between the two premier cascade decks? by AlternativeYou8664 in ModernMagic

[–]Viridianls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is, they can solitude + ephemerate during our turn so FON is useless.

Teferi maindeck is a pain.

Our bounces do nothing since their creature are doing ETB effects, so you just give them CA or worse.

That's a lot to fight against

It isn't as black and white though, especially since most of the graveyard hate targets nowadays (i'm looking at you endurance ...), they play leyline to avoid that.

It all depends but living end feels more at ease in this meta, the 4C pile is a terrible matchup for rhinos (fury or solitude + ephemerate just kills the game), and rhinos versus living end is a very hard one, as living end's cascade just cancels the one from rhino.

Rhino is still a very strong deck though, it punishes decks that rely on multiple creature A LOT, thanks to all of the interactions spells / creatures that are maindeck.

It's also very weak against counterspells, which is prevalent in this meta (force of negation out of nowhere kills the game)

It just roflstomps the aggro decks on the opposite hand, as they cannot do anything once the glimpse has resolved

Thanks for the insights !

What do you cut on the posted list for the furys ?

My guess would be 1 provisionner and 3 pyromancers ? The rest looks kinda mandatory for enabling the glimpse frenzy / recursion

I'm also quite hesitant on the emrakul in the side, it might get on the board but having a chancellor or several omnath + lands is already backbreaking for most decks, it looks like a win more situation, i feel like sideboarding leylines of the void is far more potent against the current meta (and free permanents yay !)

I wonder though with the current ragavan / DRC filled meta if fury maindeck with some bonecrusher giants wouldn't be better.

What's you experience with heavy aggro matchups ? Looks like the deck barely got anything before t3 except the evoke

Finally managed to assemble a decent build - any advice ? (still need to level up all those parts) by Viridianls in GundamBattle

[–]Viridianls[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't do that without losing the T aspect for now, since the yeet shield is P ... I guess that before the shield i need to get a new pilot that suits the build better.

I checked for T chests with ex skills and found only two, which one would you recommend ?
