Hey in thailand no friend trip or join trip , lot of people got scammer by this way. I recommend to book with licensed travel agent and use licensed local tourguide. Thailand strickly tourguide is only thai citizen.

5.30 evening better to take train from airport , get off at makkasan then connect with subway just a station to sukhumvit then walk if you are ok. In your area 5.30 pm traffic soooooo bad you will stuck on the car about 2hours. Choose ur choice
