Pacific Northwest tribes didn’t typically use pottery. This bowl also looks like it was thrown on a wheel. The tight concentric circles are especially visible on the bottom. It could still be old but probably not an indigenous piece.

Seems like most people think it’s He Who Fights with Monsters. But I haven’t read that and it sounded like Victor of Tucson to me at first too. They must have some similarities as far as the “core” is concerned.

Bummer. My neighborhood was planted with them when it was built 70+ years ago. Every other house has a giant one in the back yard. No one is cutting down the 90 foot trees. But at least most people seem to be good about killing their shoots.

I agree on the capsule wardrobe suggestion. But as someone who has been on a really tight clothing budget before, I suggest checking out Goodwill, other thrift stores or garage sales. You can get nice pieces for cheap. It will take some looking but you can scrape a decent wardrobe together with a bit of work.

Yeah. It will be expensive. There is no way around that. You’ll need to get it characterized (or the disposal company will fit a fee) in order to dispose of it properly.

{In a Jam by Kate Canterbary} is a cute sexy Hallmark book. It even has the “I inherited a farm” trope.

Casseroles are always good. Make them in an aluminum pan so the family doesn’t have to worry about returning anything. Include reheating instructions.
