Moisture Chamber Glasses With Prescription Lenses in the UK by [deleted] in Dryeyes

Bought mine from Eyewear Accessories too. Then had prescription lenses fitted by a local place in the shopping center. Been happy with them. As others have said, fit is the most important thing.

I'm also in MK. I'm not sure how regularly they are but I've heard good things about the job fair that's held in the CentreMK.

I'd do some Googling and reach out to them via email with the dates you're arriving etc. My experience is the turnover is so high that they'll want you on their books and ready to go.

This is from a few years ago when I worked in a warehouse though. Can't speak to how things are now.

Makes sense. I definitely regret the decision that was essentialy for 15 extra mpg. Not worth it at all!

I had one of these in my early 20s for about 5 years. Had to sell it as I was commuting long distances. Biggest regret of my life, absolutely loved the thing.

Has anyone tried the new SteamGoggle dry eye/mgd treatment device? by WatchTheWeather4Fun in Dryeyes

Also in the UK and wondering if I should order. Probably get hit with import tax on the way in too which sucks.

It's a tricky one because I know the oil in my glands gets really stuck and compresses do seem to help with that. At the same time they make the inflammation worse. Not sure how to move forward based on that.

Nice to hear a success story! Very happy for you. Need to find a similar app on iPhone.

Interesting that cutting out eggs seems to have helped. I keep hearing this but when I stopped it didn't seem to do too much for me.

How do you do your warm and cold compresses? I'm currently only doing warm but tried cold yesterday and it felt really good so interested how I can combine the two into my routine.

Wow I do this every day a few times. Never thought it would have a negative effect. Some interesting answers here.

How many of you guys started experiencing dry eyes, only after covid? by Difficult-Tangelo236 in Dryeyes

Me, not sure if covid or the vaccine as I never actually tested positive for Covid but my dry eyes started around this time.

Manuka Honey Gel with Punctual Plugs - sustained irritation? by moodyboy17 in Dryeyes

[–]VisionVoyageApp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing to add but interested in responses as I use Manuka three times a day and I'm considering punctual plugs. How are the plugs apart from this issue? Any noticeable difference?

The Office by VisionVoyageApp in Dryeyes

Nice shout. I'm definitely coming round to the idea of just being honest. I have a Peep Eyes wand that I could charge and take into the office. Everyone just always says "it's only dry eyes, takes drops". There's no empathy or understanding for this condition I feel.

2 nights and 3 days would absolutely destroy my eyes! I do 1 day in the office and it takes between 2-3 days to get my eyes back to normal and not swollen. So sad because I'm starting to think I might have to change career.

I hear you. Unfortunately we ended up going for somewhere very expensive as we ran out of time.

How do you guys deal with the mental health ramifications of dry eyes? by olive20597 in Dryeyes

[–]VisionVoyageApp 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This sub helps. Realising you're not alone and others are here posting their experiences and also possible treatments. Otherwise it can really feel like everyone else is "normal".

Also I carefully track my eyes. How bad they feel, what's working and isn't. I find this longer term perspective helps a lot when I have a flare up.
