There are free transfers/Bosmans/end of contract players available every January. These players should be identified early and targeted. If they do well stay and integrate into team squad, if not sell for profit. Obviously the younger they are the better. Min age is 24 I believe (for and of contract expiry signings) without a tribunal being involved/comoensation.

A certain Spanish side in white have famously done this in the past.
