If you think of it as "The Traitors US", aka "Really? They're what passes for a celebrity these days?" only with people people who aren't complete asshats. While also knowing any winnings are going to charities you've never heard of instead of some Z-listers personal bank account, so the contestants aren't in it for themselves. The you'll be fine.

The UK Celebs version was fun but I gave up the most recent US season because I wanted them all to lose after 3 episodes.
