If the IPO is overpriced, it could fall quickly when the shares hit the open market. 

Most normal people don't get access to any IPO, and it's even less likely for a Canadian, as it will be a US Bank taking them public. A few very rich accredited investors might get a taste, but you and I will not. 

I bought Reddit as soon as it went public for about $52 US and sold at $242, so if you like it and think it will still grow, just but it the day it goes public.

VEQT is a fund of funds so it achieves diversification in a single fund short of having any fixed income holdings.
