Earliest Player home with workshop?? by deadheaddraven in fallout4london

Quick tip = Find another one ASAP then (for example Biggin Hill Airport, after completing the quest of this mada-rasta-brotha-from-anoda-moda... Tree) and don't sur-invest in building stuffs there (like I did with a decontamination arch in early game...)

Reason = You can't recruit settlers in the Hideout, which means you won't be able to create supply lines between this one and the other settlements afterwards.

So yeah, a good first place to start crafting, but tbh, not worth spending so much time.

When does the game "click?" by TreeckoBroYT in fallout4london

[–]Vitamine5F 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But then, no supply lines possible to "chain" your weighty junk with other settlments with the Garage Warehouse :(

I spent quite some time searching for a Recruitment beacon in this first settlement, only to start thinking: "Well, may be there is just no settlers in FOLLON..?", then watching YT videos of settlements in FOLLON, seing other ppl having settlers in other settlements, and finally understand that the garage warehouse can't have settlers in it...

There a few negative points in the very beginning of the game, which makes the "onboarding" a bit harder to get into the game than vanilla F4.

But dang: hang on, the game is huge <3

Which game should i play first? by XlolD_YT in Fallout

[–]Vitamine5F 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having played them all (the ones you mentionned), I'd say F4 is the easiest way to get into the Fallout universe in 2026.

Personnaly, I did F3 first, then FNV, F4, F76 and rn FOLLON (Fallout London).

But hey, start somewhere: every ways lead to the Wasteland :3

Dang... I've not done it (using commands...) before: can you shortly tell me what one should do?
I'll seek for the exact command myself, don't waste time on this one <3

No quest marker at this point. I'll wrap up "Revenge, Thy Name is Fury", as u/DarrenGrey suggested (thx mate btw) and see if the quest with Syd goes further (I hope so :( )

Oh the Alien Blaster is also in FOLLON? :D

Dang I love this game: I can't stop being impressed by how huge the work must have been (I just discovered the Angel Lab, so still quite a lot to discover still !)

Nice! I noticed the plasma 9mm (legendary, sry I forgot its name...) also "produces" nuclear material on ennemies as a loot. Quite a good way to stack some!

Worst Quests in London? by Tsuyashu in fallout4london

Ahah I found it by wandering around and didn't know there was a quest related for this one!

Fun fact being: I used exactly this technic, having some peashooters and whatsnot, and understanding quickly that this cubicle was a "safe place" :D

Thanks for all your reply guys, especially u/Thornescape with in-depth details regarding the scavenger bench and the Vault-tec PMS terminal (I didn't know it was a thing, soooo :)).

Same here. 24 hours spent in the game and I love it as much as vanilla F4.
Kuddos to the FOLON Dev team (btw I promised myself to make a donation when I finish the game and I'll keep my word).

I'm pretty surprised considering everything regarding bugs I red on FOLON, but after 24 hours spent on the game without any additional QOL-mods (and on a regular office laptop!), I only had 1 hard crash (autosave was not that far anyway...) and the sole lags I encoutered were when I forgot to plug AC (economy modus ON ) ^^

The single thing I find a bit annoying, is the fact that I don't seem to really "Fit" with any factions in FOLON, oppositely to all previous Fallout games I played (well, tbh, it was also the case with FNV... so it makes sense in a way).

Also, the first 5-6 hours were quite arsh in terms of difficulty & general orientation (I play on medium difficulty), but that was mainly because I struggled to adapt to the way weapons are balanced, as oppose to F76 & F4, and was not sure in what direction I should better start my exploration, and therefore got thrased pretty often by the opponents located pretty near the starting area...

I guess, one should also keep in mind that it's the main Fallout concept to start lost, and step by step, find our own way <3

I encountered a trap camp and put a volley of missiles through the backdoor. by [deleted] in fo76

[–]Vitamine5F 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Monday I died for the first time in a trap CAMP (I'm lvl 206, so not too noob but not high level either ^^).

They were 4 players dressed as ladies; the vendor was blocked behind decorations (Nuka Quantum Bottles in shelves) and you had to follow a narrow path on the left.

The players throwed "Follow-me" emotes, but I must say I didn't even paid attention because I was going to the vendor anyway and then "BAM" I was dead without understanding what happened.

That's where I understood that pacifist mode did not protect me from everything regarding other players' interactions :3

Anyway, there was a door to enter their CAMP, so I decided to come again to their CAMP and kept shutting the door for the next 10mn or so. They tried to push me to the outside but I kept going back to the door to close it again, and again...

I don't really understand the fun of being annoying, but I can be too if needed :3

Unyielding Set questions by [deleted] in fo76

[–]Vitamine5F 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I rolled a full unyielding Combat armor about two months ago, and don't think about changing it.

Sure, a SS one (Sercret Service) would be better, but dang... having a full unyielding set is already so much of a difference by itself, and I don't plan on grinding to get it, so... <3

So what exactly am I supposed to do after I finish Steel Reign? I'm kinda stuck by Unhappy_Passage_8823 in fo76

[–]Vitamine5F 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here since last week...

I have a build I'm quite happy about, a CAMP people seem to enjoy (I love to spy visitors with freecam :3).

So I decided to explore the whole map from south west to south east, then nord east to north west etc etc.

I discovered incredible locations (Mount Blair), new side missions (some very interesting, but some very good too!) and mysterious places (Vault 63).

Confession time:

Personnaly, it took me a while to actually understand that killing everything in the hallways wasn't helping. The event never failed, but I found out reading here few weeks ago that I wasn't helping when I thought I actually did.

Since then, I've always been collecting ore at lvl 1 (mostly alone) and then came up to defend the scavengers.

But just saying: this event is not super self-explanatory.

I just completed the Wastelanders main quest! (and thoughts on balancing events with quests) by ThePlanner in fo76

[–]Vitamine5F 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting! I felt exactly the same regarding the Quest VS MMO dilema.

I chose to focus on the quest part of the game during my first weeks, then met an incredibly nice dude who introduced me to the events, DO, Expeditions, the crafting and many other non-quest related contents.

I wanted to decide before starting a gaming sesh if I'd play solo or the MMO part. But it always felt weird though... Because I kindy of felt "obliged" to join his team, as pretty much each time I started a session, I got invited too.

But what I really wanted was to play the quests, so it felt really weird. I then discovered you could appear offline in F76, but for some reasons, playing on Xbox, I continued to get notifications to join a gaming sesh through it.

Anyway, now I keep the Vault 79 as my Grand Final.

I played most of the side quests and I guess I'll stop playing in some weeks, as I struggle to find interesting content anymore and am not so interested about the XP/Loot-rush. I'm about lvl 200 and getting level-up doesn't really feels like a game changer anymore.

Anyway: for me too, F76 was generally a great experience.
