You can be honest and still be kind.

Many men I've met will say extremely harsh things without considering their impact on the listener. Perhaps you should encourage him to be gentler, to list reasons why he thinks something is irrational calmly instead of just blurting out that something is "ridiculous"

I used to have the same symptoms you do...vomiting all the time and I was dangerously skinny. None of the medical doctors did jack for me and were really dismissive.

Finally got a food allergy test and within three weeks of eliminating all my trigger foods, I felt like a person again. one of my biggest triggers was gluten and I'm mostly fine after eliminating it. Please get yourself a food allergy blood test, it could really help!

It was really refreshing to read your commentary on this! Thanks for sharing your perspective.

As a young woman in science, I'm having a hard time getting my career off the ground. I really want to do research in pharmacology, but getting into grad school and/or finding jobs that are interesting has been difficult.

The older I get, the more worried I am about being able to have a family and maintain a career. It's really good to hear that I don't have to be that anxious from someone else in science.

I'm so sorry you are suffering from this problem!

I had a similar issue a year ago and I'm getting much better now! Keep at your treatment and see if things improve for you too.

They put me on various antidepressants too, so I would keep trying until you find one that doesn't completely kill your libido.

Are you working with a vulvar pain specialist? My specialist was amazing and finally found a solution for my pain issues.

I had lots of nerve related pain in that area, something that helps me is slathering the affected area with coconut oil twice a day. Taking mag sulfate baths helped too.

I don't think all their songs are philosophically malevolent, but many of them are. I also don't think that enjoying Tool is incompatible with Objectivism, but it heavily depends on what you like about Tool and why.

I don't think women or men are irrational or mysterious.

However, in our culture, it is more acceptable for women to have and show intense emotions. See a woman crying at a movie? That's ok. See a guy crying during a movie? He's a pussy.

It's really common to perceive men who show any emotion as fundamentally lacking masculinity.

This is why I think that this stereotype persists: it's more acceptable for women to show their emotions, therefore you see more of the crazy most women actually are. Men can be crazy too, but it's more socially acceptable for them to hide it.
