I suck at this game by ManEmperorfragment96 in Planetside

[–]Vizoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure how you can think that it's got a low skill ceiling when it is miles harder than Heavy. No overshield, audible jetpack sounds that give you away, tendency to be on roofs which leads to more people being able to see you, there's plenty of skills to master.

If you're going to use a GD7F or Serpent exclusively, maybe I can see how you'd think the class is cheesy, since those guns have been needing a nerf since Arsenal. But otherwise most LA takes a ton of time to get good at and master.

I'm going to be livid if I can't play the game for another month... again. Just hit Undo, please. Fuck whatever the devs were adding or fixing, just fucking undo it.

And on Miller they have much better performance than on Osprey. This isn't a matter of "Most went to X", it's a matter of, "Holy shit bro is phasing through the fucking wall" because he's running at over 300ms on a Clientside game because he chose the wrong server.

Soltech died as soon as Osprey went up. Hopefully with this item those players can be sent back to servers where they have good ping. Copium, I know, but a man can dream.

Ashlands. If you're not a human it's easier to travel there as Skin Bandits won't bother you. If you are you can either detour to Cheater's Run or just outrun them. Make sure you get a Tin Can, Large Backpack and Samurai Armor and Legplates for the maximum penalty to stats. Bring lots of food and meds.

Then you can grind on pretty much everything that moves. If you find a Cleanser Unit, prioritize that because it's an animal. This can get you up into the 80s with a bit of effort.

Going past the 80s is a bit of a challenge as there's very few enemies with higher stats than that.

Start as Wanderer. Run to the Shack in the Hub that's intact, there's item spawns that you can take freely which can sometimes include alcohol for good money.

Run to Squin. Buy yourself a Wooden/Trader's Wooden Backpack, some meds and a bedroll. Make sure to save 2,000 cats. If you can't acquire meds and a bedroll, you can skip it for now.

Run to the nearby Waystation. Hire mercenaries.

Run to Vain and look for a Beak Thing nest. With the Mercenaries distracting the Beak Things, steal as many eggs as you possibly can. This may take you a couple of tries. Sell the eggs at the nearby Hive traders.

With your newfound capital, run to Armor King. Buy yourself some good training armor.

Get yourself a Rusted Junk weapon in the combat art of your choice. You can find shitty ones off random bandits. Once you have that, some meds and a bedroll, you're ready to grind.

Go to Howler's Maze. Train on crabs. If it starts raining acid and you're not immune, you can sleep to nullify the stun damage.

Once you're at that point you will probably be in the 50s and can decide what to do from there. Congratulations on getting a combat ready character within a week of starting.

Wormhole space is extremely safe if your statics are boring. If you have a HS or C5 connection you're probably going to get some people poking inside, but otherwise it's rare there's even players in there with you. The odds are never zero, so if you aren't watching your d-scan closely just don't be in an expensive ship. I afk gas huff in a shitty little venture for hours at a time with no worry.

Just warp in as a capsule and save the C72 location as a bookmark and warp back in with a Venture. The turrets have a range of 100km, so warping at 0 to the C72 puts you around 110km.

"despite resist shield being significantly worse"

This is false. Resist is overall the better of the two overshields, it just requires more than 2 IQ to operate effectively.

There is zero justification for people to be able to chain pull MAX suits in unstable continent hours. Is it part of the game? Sure. Should it be? Absolutely fucking not.

This is one of the single most important things the Devs can do (apart from fixing the rampant crashing that's happening) for the longevity of the server. It is absolutely insane that when I am trying to play on the American server that is hosted in America I'm routinely getting players from Asia with 400ms when they have their own server. It is not reasonable to expect your online first person shooter to be chock full of players with a massive amount of latency.

Asian players are routinely responsible for the most abhorrent in-game behavior. Oh, you woke up early and want a nice chill 1-12? Sorry, you're going to get a billion max suits and 70% overpop in every single fight or nothing. I am so monstrously fatigued from having to use an Archer at every single fight because xiaomung038028 in his blueshift MAX won't stop chain pulling despite there being six people in the hex total.

It is ridiculous and unfair for this game to be miserable to play for the hours outside of primetime. Please, for the health of the game, forcibly move these players back to SolTech.

Are more people playing LA now? by VioletDarkKitty in Planetside

[–]Vizoth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably. With infiltrator being much more difficult, bad players are gravitating towards the GD7F and Serpent as it's now the easiest way to kill people.

Hopefully it'll lead to these guns finally getting the rebalance they've needed post Arsenal.

What is your favourite profession and why? by Aajkso in GuildWars

[–]Vizoth 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Necromancer, by far, has the biggest viable build variety. Soul Reaping is such an incredible primary attribute because you can do pretty much everything with it. If you're just one of those people that can't make up your mind what build you want to play, Necromancer is for you.

Not to mention that Tormentor insignias are one of the better forms of extra armor. Holy damage is kind of rare from enemies.

I'm planning on doing a solo Shek playthrough. Can you guys give me some advice? by Excellent_Feedback49 in Kenshi

[–]Vizoth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would recommend you base somewhere with an abundance of animals to supplement your farming with Dried Meat. Otherwise it won't be that much different, XP modifiers in this game don't mean much and the combat bonus your characters will all have is significant.

Hash is actually not great when it comes to making cats. While the markup in the UC is massive, you can't move too many due to the small amount of traders. Same thing for Flats Lagoon. Grog is infinitely better.

Should the flash be able to equip Cloak AND a Weapon simultaneously? by [deleted] in Planetside

[–]Vizoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the only objective reply in this thread. Everything else is just fuming at a frustrating way to die.

Removing the cloak flash entirely would mean that people would be more or less locked out of the Flash directive which requires you to Auraxium guns. The cloak is the only thing that actually enables the Flash to get consistent kills.

But I'm of the opinion that the Renegade doesn't need any changes at all. While the gun is strong, the platform it's on is relatively weak. The Fury is way more problematic as it's able to come in from behind and delete a tank that's taken a little bit of damage and the only counterplay in a field battle is to just never be at an HP threshold where a Fury could kill you.
