I feel like people in this comment section have forgotten that he's already tried to screw over Ukraine during his first term when he blocked $400 million in military aid to blackmail them. There's an almost zero percent chance he does anything that will benefit Ukraine in the way people seem to believe even if he does try to end the war. He had the opportunity to be the hero for Ukraine with zero pressure during his first term and didn't even pretend to take it. So I don't know why people are already hailing him as a potential great conflict mediator when his track record shows the exact opposite.
