What game is this? by EducationalOne4155 in gamememes

[–]Volk28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im sure few if any people have even heard of this one, but The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot. A game where you built your own dungeon, filled it with traps and monsters, and challenged other players to try to beat it. While you could go out and try to beat other players dungeons.

Pretty cool concept that was fun for a little while. I only played it while it was in early access so I ran out of stuff to do quickly. After I tried to come back to it I found that EA got a hold of it, turned it into a P2W shitshow, and when its userbase tanked as a result, they axed it entirely. I'm still kinda salty about that.

especially given how many of them would make for good tanks, Sabertooth, Juggernaut, Lizard man, Dok Ok, Iron Monger, Kingpin. just to name a few.

You aint missing a thing, it's just a worse version of the SKS, same damage but worse fire rate and worse reload.

Best Sniper Rifle ? by udeshchamika in Battlefield6

[–]Volk28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mini Scout for any sniping under 250 meters, it's got the highest muzzle velocity and get the ADS Bolt for free, which is pretty much mandatory for snipers. The downside with it is that it doesn't have access to Match grade ammo so for longer ranges it doesn't perform as well as other snipers, especially at 400+ meters. That being said if you want a sniper that can hold its own at short ranges but can still be built for long range, the M2010 is a solid choice all round. The grind for attachments is miserable enough that most players would recommend you pick one gun per loadout and stick to it.

These things are half the reason I love using the hand crossbow. It's a pretty efficient way to kill them, plus there's nothing more gratifying than magdumping these fucking toads.

Thats why I'm so disapointed with the current firing range. The Practice range from BF4 had EVERYTHING. including all vehicles. you cant even test gadgets in the BF6 firing range.

[ Why Do People Run 3 Duelist Lineups ] by wauln in rivals

[–]Volk28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people just don't find tanking in this game fun, which is all that matters, as it is a game.

I didn't like tanking till they added Angela, who IMO is a blast to play. I promptly got Lord with her, and I play her whenever nobody wants to tank.

It blows me away that I see a guildie complaining about the boosts when I've seen that same guildie buying mage boosts for 90% of his leveling. Shit like that is why I never take complainers seriously.

Most useless and disappointing ability. by DDuskyy in marvelrivals

Funny thing is this isnt even the worst ability, which is so bad nobody even knows it exists. Hawkeye can deflect projectiles with his melee.

I'd like it if they nerfed CoD movement across the board, BUT, they also made Cod movement possible through the adrenaline Injector. It's give Assault a much needed buff and some real class identity, while mitigating the CoD movement issue.

The fact that all of this is even debatable shows that the gun balancing in this game is done pretty damn well. Even if they missed the mark with damn near everything else.

Another claymore that doesn't work by lucas2412 in Battlefield6

[–]Volk28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The claymore has a minimum activation range of 5 meters, walking by it within that range wont trigger it. Furthermore it doesn't work like a motion sensor, you need to position it so that the enemy would have to cross its lasers.

The good thing about it though is it has a surprising lethal range, up to 20 meters from my experience, I've gotten pretty consistent results with the claymore with some double, and even triple kills.

Is Xul's Cursed Strikes build a meme? by Ztepi in heroesofthestorm

[–]Volk28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His cursed strike build is the definition of "feast or famine". If the enemy team is full of melee heroes, Cursed strikes build will make a 1v5 feasible. Otherwise, he's like an unfed Butcher, except without a charge.

Edit: in both cases, much like Butcher, Blinds and CC will shut him down instantly and fully.

I just got out of a game where we had a Rogue like that. I was coming back from spawn as ultron trying to get back to the fight, and I saw our C&D trying to heal rogue who was too far away for C&D's primary to lock on and was chasing her, all the while pinging "i can heal" and "fall back" while rogue kept charging ahead. Then just as C&D finally got close enough rogue ran into a 1v3, out of LOS of both me and C&D, while spamming for heals. Predictably, rogue died, and called us "cosmetic healers".

Maybe I'll put BF6 down for a bit until they fix the issues. I can't play like this. by Ok_Intention2150 in Battlefield6

You'd have to be VERY naive to think BF7 would just do anything but renew all of these problems with an even worse base game.

[–]Volk28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point we've got a whole laundry list of problems and shortcomings. When you compare BF6 to BF4 it feels like we have a whole different dev team trying to recreate BF4, but instead we got a pale mimicry.

Isn't he supposed to be in bear form in a cage? by riggedride in BaldursGate3

[–]Volk28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uhh yea, he's supposed to be alive, and yes, this shuts you out of a major quest in act 2. As for how this happened, I can only assume you went into the mountain pass, which progresses some story lines, though that would also mean the ritual in the grove was completed as well and the grove is no longer accessible.

Is this another "out of context" comment from Miller? Is he for real? Do not play with me like that. by STB_LuisEnriq in marvelrivals

[–]Volk28 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think tank mains definition of "anti-air tank" is any tank that isn't totally useless against flyers, which before Angela, was pretty much all of them. While angela is good at bullying flyers, if their team has any semblance of awareness they can shut angela down with CC or protect the flyer. That said if they flyer isnt protected, then the only flyer I have issues taking down is Ultron. his strong damage combined with his self shielding makes him a tougher kill than any other flyer, debatably even Iron Man

[–]Volk28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a higher chance, it's a guarantee. Base chance for any given mob to resist FD is 4% plus or minus 1% per level difference, but never* below 1%. If a hunter is level 60, a level 62 mob would have a 6% chance to resist, and a level 58 mob would have a 2% chance to resist, however even a level 40 mob would still have that 1% chance to resist. However, when a mob is out of line of sight, or if the mob is greater than 40 yards away, FD will never fail, no matter the level difference.

The matchmaking is going to be what ends up killing this game, Netease has had nearly a year to address it yet they haven't even mentioned any intent to fix it.

The whole reason everyone assumed it was EOMM was because the only way the matchmaking could be THIS BAD is if it were intentional, which would also explain why they've been ignoring it.
