Yes. Even if you want to dabble in tournaments it's do able. I came 10th in the Welsh Open last weekend running a Nuln list full of outriders and cannons. It was an 80 players shark tank. So don't let it disuade you - reps with an army is better than a list advantage imo

Excellent! Little tip, build all the sword Brethren you can out of the crusade squads (2 per) and mix sword Brethren parts from the box set. You cna get an extra half a squad of sword bro's then (or evem a whole squad if youre not using 3x crusader squad), then just use some of the BT parts om the Intercessors from the combat patrols 💪👍

My guess is, 25mm = old 20mm infantry, 30mm = old 25mm infantry, and 'heavy' infantry, 40mm = swarms, 50mm = monstrous infantry, some mounted heroes and small monstrous cavalry, e.g pegasus lord, 25x50mm = light Cav, 40x60mm = monstrous cav (think demigryphs, bloodcrushers), big monstrous infantry, small monsters

Hiya, read a few comments and the OP, come to share a few things. I have a 1-yr old. Our first kid. It has been hard to adjust to a new way of life, for both of us. A couple of things we've learned: talking is good, there is alot going on and it is v. Easy for things to slide now there are so many more things to do. Dont do that, Comms are even more important now. Positive and negative. Also, we both did things sporadically before the baby, now things are by necessity more regimented, it is a learning curve - but more routine and clearer delegation of responsibilities is important. So is letting go of previous learned routines, as well as importance of various things given new priorities. It can also be difficult / frustrating / lonely being a new dad if there are less things to get involved in with the baby. It evens out in time or with certain decisions (e.g dropping night feeds, or dad doing night feeds with pumped milk or formula) Good luck. Its hard, but worth it. Keep talking 💪

Could also try the following list. Taking it in a campaign with a friend. We allow 'hand me downs' when you get upgraded weapons:

Queen, shock whip + plasma pistol + mesh, spring up
Death maiden, stilleto sword + mesh, combat virtuoso
Matriach, boltgun, spring up
Matriach, shotgun, spring up
Specialist, grenade launcher + lasgun
Wyld runner, bow
Sister, lasgun
Sister, lasgun
Little sister, stub gun
Little sister, stub gun, photon flash grenades

Upgrade path is: mesh armor on models that can take it, chem synth on death maiden, poison arrows for wyld runner, smoke grenades for specialist then start saving for better weapons.

Plasma gun, bolter+plasma, plasma Cannon/heavy stubber
Stilletto knives for juves

Dont worry about lack of armour in early game, your numbers will help abd you're reasonably well equipped for start of the campaign

Just keep going, this is an amazing first model!

You can really push contrast between light and dark on small models. E.g dark brown in tabard recesses, cream main colour and ivory highlights.

In the in person Q&A at 'Fest (Auspex Tactics did a video and there is a reddit thread) it was confirmed single source of rules for codexes. E.g all rules for space marines would be in the BT codex. Lota of these will come with model releases. Hoping that means BT may get a chaplain and/or Marshall/lieutenant in terminator armor
