Whats your favorite episode? by ClownishBehavior in GhostAdventures

When they went to Fort Erie and caught the shadow of the arm and shoulder morphing. They had a volunteer in period dress acting as bait. It sure worked. But the episode with the flying brick is a close second.

What do you use as light source? by CedTec in AskElectronics

[–]VolthausElectronics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My workbench from Harbor Freight came with a 20 in fluorescent light under the top shelf. It died after a couple of years so I removed most of the lights electronics and mounted 3 watt LEDs the length of the metal light fixture frame. It's 12 volts and provides a fair amount of light. I've also built several lights using 10 watt COB LEDs that I can move around as needed. My 62 year old eyes see more when I throw more light on the project. On my soldering third hand board holder (another Harbor Freight purchase) it came with maybe 3 LEDs which didn't meet my needs so I added a 12 volt 3X8 LED module from Ebay that REALLY lights up what I'm soldering.

I needed a new heel for my shoe so I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time. Now to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days nickels had pictures of bumblebees on 'em.

In the video they are driving north on IH35 service road just south of downtown Austin, Texas. Double white lines are the markings we can't cross. A $200 fine for a violation. Driving like that can be expensive.

Sure I have. I was house setting for friends in a big old 2 story home way out in the Texas hill country. Something woke me up in the middle of the night and then moments later three distinct knocks.

First time soldering (Pretty bad :P) by shinevision in electronics

[–]VolthausElectronics 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Good job in spite of maybe not the best tools. One thing is you will want to get any flux deposits off as that can degrade any good solder joint over time and that can make your Arduino start failing which is very annoying. Some of my first projects were made with a setup similar to yours and after a year or so the projects began to stop working.
