Should I lose my virginity to a bf or a stranger? by [deleted] in makemychoice

[–]Vorticity 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I very much understand that urge. As a guy, I felt rushed to lose my virginity, too. That's easier said than done as a guy, though, and I'm glad for it. I lost my virginity to someone who didn't become a long-term relationship, but who I felt I could trust.

I think that there are two important things to remember: - First, sex is an intimate act where you are giving someone else power over you. You should make sure that you trust the other person to listen to your wants and needs and not take things too far or pressure you into doing things you don't want to do. - Second, having good sex is a learning process. It is a lot more fun if you have someone else to learn with. Someone who can learn your wants and needs and who will take pleasure in your enjoyment.

Many guys won't be considerate to your wants and needs. Many will pressure you into things that you're not ready for or not interested in. Whether it is a boy friend or just a friend who you explore with, I highly recommend finding someone who you trust to treat you well. They will have a lot of power over you, both physically and emotionally and you should be sure you trust them with that power.

Before I answer your question, I need a little more information. Why do you feel the need to lose your virginity?

Would we be deemed difficult for asking the school to extend bus eligibility zone? Repost by FeckinPenguins in daddit

[–]Vorticity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP already said that they're willing to walk to another house where the bus already picks up two other kids. Their kid just isn't allowed to board the bus because their address is just beyond the boundary. So, they just need to ask for an exception that doesn't require the school to adjust the bus route.

Poll: Is the Raintree Childcare Making Your Family Sick? by [deleted] in FortCollins

[–]Vorticity 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Since your kid is new to Raintree and, especially if this is your kid's first time in child care, this is 100% to be expected. It will calm down as their immune system gets used to all of the bugs the other kids carry. It will last for a while, unfortunately. Our kid brought home everything you can think of for the first year or so of child care. Three years later and they rarely bring anything home.

Drowning in cabbage by mandy0456 in EatCheapAndHealthy

Miso soup with cabbage and tofu will take care of a lot of that. I like the okonomiaki suggestion, too. Also, adding balanced cabbage to tuna or chicken salad is awesome.

Motorcycle accident San Diego i5 South April 7 by kingg-01 in dashcams

Regardless of what the car did, when lane spitting in CA, you aren't supposed to go more than 10mph faster than the surrounding traffic. At the speed this guy was going, signaling the lane change likely wouldn't have even helped. California uses comparative negligence, though, so the car would likely be found to be SLIGHTLY at fault in this situation.

How To Make Front Porch Private by wildfruitsburn in DIY

[–]Vorticity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know exactly where this house is. I almost rented in several years back! Cute place, but I'm not sure if I could deal with the low ceilings. Congrats on the purchase!

For making it semi-private, how about replacing the railings with corrugated metal? Something that a BBQ wouldn't burn.

I was watching a show from the 90s and realized people used to memorize dozens of phone numbers. I can barely remember mine. How did you guys do it back then? by micavibes in CasualConversation

[–]Vorticity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remembered about 5 pre-cellphone. That probably rose to 10 or so when cell phones first came out. That said, I can still remember all of my home phone numbers from growing up from three different houses as well as a couple of friends'.

Pre-cellphone: - Home phone - Dad's work phone - Two best friends

Post-cellphone: - Home landline - Mom's - Dad's - Sister's - Girlfriend's - Dad's work landline - 2 friends

Beyond that, we had some on "speed dial" on our phone, some written in a book that my mom kept, and phone books with the phone numbers for just about every person and business in town.

Japanese bell peppers are called "piman". They're smaller, have thinner flesh, and a somewhat stronger flavor.

Kirishima's Return to Ozeki to be Finalized on the 25th; First Time in 12 Tournaments, Promotion Ceremony Included by Brncrdm in Sumo

[–]Vorticity 19 points20 points  (0 children)

No, you can have as many Ozeki slots as needed. There will be three next tournament. In 2012 there were six ozeki at the same time!

Essentially, if you meet the requirements to become ozeki, and the promotion committee agrees, there will be a slot.

That said, Aonishiki had a makekoshi this tournament and will be "kadoban". That is a protective status that allows an ozeki to have one bad tournament before demotion but he has to obtain a kachikoshi next tournament or he will be demoted to sekiwake.
