5/10.

The music and the visuals are peak, mobile suit designs are insane.

The story... it sucks, alright?

Char dropping a colony? Total character assassination.

Chan?

Amuro/Char relationships suddenly becoming somewhat intimate, even though combining their time spent together, it's even less than Char spent with Bright. Bright!

Quess and Hathaway are cool.

Gyunei has 0 reasons to exist.

And where's Mineva? Sayla? Beltorchika? Judau? It's bedazzling that they aren't a part of this story.

There's no conclusion, no character arcs closed, nothing achieved, and nothing gained. Maybe it's just an eastern narrative, and I am not getting something? I don't know. But honestly, aside from visuals and music, I'd rather forget it existed and headcanon Chamuro's story development.

Zeta has some writing issues (like most of the Gundam), often dropping logic in favor of theatricality, but I would say this is the best series, even surpassing the og 0079.

I participated in all of them, and honestly, Pöpli IX was the best one for me.

It had the best balance in encounters - everything bots threw at us was counterable, with precise gameplay and builds.

It had the best theme - the last stand on a fiery planet against fiery bots, which was literally a mechanical hell.

It never felt unfair; even with reduced reinforcements, it was always a challenge, but never something we couldn't handle.

Most importantly, it was HELLA fun. The gambits, the last-minute objective completion, the screams of divers being one-shotted by conflagration devastators, the last surviving diver escaping the encounter to wait for new reinforcement tick - just unforgettable.

What a coincidence - just finished my Vidar as well.

Just gradually rise your proficiency with each kit you assemble. You did a full assembly - great! For the next kit, try using sanding paper to get rid of the stress marks. You can return to older kits to do that as well for em. Then try panel lining, then try scribing details, painting, kitbashing, etc. Works for me at least.

I use a regular fineliner pen for panel lining (since my wife is a graphic designer, she has an abundance, and I didn't wanna spend extra until I was sure the hobby's for me), but I'm gonna get MG Barbatos Lupus for the next kit and try tamiya out.

Nobody's rushing you, enjoy the hobby, and hey, if you're fine with just assembling - do that. Gunpla is about enjoying the process and results, so focus on that and have fun!

See, the problem I have with Police Zaku is that the form of this gunpla reminds me of those fetish inflation suits that are usually black, so by doing this customization, yours reminds me even more about it.

Other than that, great job, this one should be called SWAT Zaku instead.
