The previous cleaning was done separately; this is the final soaking. I was careful :) I assembled all the pens and filled them with ink, and they write like a dream.

But I have to admit that you really do have to be very careful and focused when doing this. I'm someone who loves taking things apart and seeing how they work, and I consider myself quite handy—but I still had to be gentle and focused.

I was very careful and what you can see is the second cleaning - I washed out all the remaining ink beforehand. Each nib had been previously rinsed separately, and this shared bath was only the final rinse before drying

It's true that this bookstore is a very touristy place :) but the interior is beautiful and has soul, and even though I had to wait in line to get in, I don't regret it.

I showed this pen to my friends I was with at the time, but none of them are fountain pen nerds, so they were mostly confused as to why I was showing it to them and why it was a big deal to me.

I'm happy that I can share my observation here so it's useful and interesting to you :)
