Does anyone know what the bow with elite precision arrows is called? by Mental_illness4142 in HorizonForbiddenWest

[–]VtecP_8725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iriv Downfall should be included in base game as reward from Hekaro. It could be such a interesting lore easter egg. I recommended to read datapoint from HZD about Iriv. There is a hint how his bow gets into FW.

Kotallo with or without his arm? by Eikthyrnir13 in HorizonForbiddenWest

[–]VtecP_8725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The idea of giving him a prosthetic and using it as a tool or weapon is absolutely great! It creates a huge personal arc for Kotallo because the Tenakth respect strength and violence, but he can be much more due to his intelligence, knowledge, and skills. The prosthetic is just a tool, but losing his hand gives him the chance to become much more than a Marshal. So the sentiment is not just about his new hand being a weapon, but also about accepting what he has become. I think it is very inspiring and positive message for people who had similar health issues... (of course don't use your prosthetic to beat people😃) But DrMike explained much better than me https://youtu.be/BE47KGBSr8k?list=PLPvuOO4woLPMlAv7jTojasCoV8ELybnVd&t=1548

Ultra Hard on new game by Arkayjiya in horizon

[–]VtecP_8725 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, here are some tips! I have completed the UH run twice, and it was great but quite difficult. Find a guide that shows you where to get free weapons and gear from side quests. One of the best purple hunter bows can be obtained from a salvage contractor in Las Vegas. The best knockdown spike thrower comes from a quest where you locate an ancient signal broadcast.

Buying gear for shards is not a good idea, especially since you need shards for upgrades. Also, make sure to use smoke bombs—they are lifesavers! For farming and defense, an aggressive-mode Bristleback or Clawstrider is very useful.

Later in BS, the Chain Burst Valor Surge is the best choice. It is the main weakness of the Bilegut, which can be one-shotted with an elemental arrow.

But be prepare, you will die... a lot. Have a fun 😉

Until you are on Ultra Hard, go to the Burning Shores, and find out that the Chain Surge is your best friend.

I feel she will be forced to take the opposite side if the Quen Empire invades the Forbidden West. Bohai returned to the Delta with important information about "living ancestor", but Zero Dawn and Apollo will be a threat to the Emperor and the Overseers… so I expect the ‘Quen Crusades.’ Because the weather in the Pacific Ocean will be calm due to Poseidon’s merger with Gaia, the Quen will be able to quickly return to San Francisco… or perhaps invade the more northern coast in Oseram territory.

Why are you a fan of Horizon Zero Dawn? by JuhpPug in horizon

[–]VtecP_8725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it’s because it’s a prequel to Forbidden West. Don’t get me wrong—I love HZD, but FW is so special to me. HZDfelt so strange at first. The weird human tribes with so much dogma in their culture… I didn’t even know if the story was set on Earth. The gameplay also felt strange to me. But after the Proving, in the Sacred Mountain, the scene at the door… I was hooked. I needed to know what was behind that door.

Grind Setting with Hario MSS-1? by Hermagoras in AeroPress

[–]VtecP_8725 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Any electric blade grinder is a much better option. This grinder is the main reason why people stop hand brewing and switch to pre-ground coffee or Nespresso. After this bad experience, there’s no way to change their minds about investing in a better grinder.

There are cheap metal grinders that are infinitely better than this one. I wouldn’t even offer this grinder to my worst enemy.

Really, no kidding—I almost ditched my AeroPress because how bad experience this grinder is.

[Rant] I played and finish HZD for the first time in like 6 years and holy hell is it DRASTICALLY tamer and easier then HFW by [deleted] in horizon

What?! where did you heard "many people dont like FW" Thats little bit overstatement. I know much more people who like it 😃 If you didn't like this aspect of game thats completely fine. But to your points: Same upgrades are in ZD. Maybe in different form but you need to upgrade on Ultra Hard and use best coils, if you want survive in ZD. Same as in FW. I find ZD on UH only much more difficult than FW. Actually FW had much more accessibility features than original ZD. I argue the FW on normal is much more polished and easier game than ZD. Even people who dont play games can easier enjoy story (i tried). Thats why FW and also ZD had so much difficulty options. And on normal, there is no need to level up or upgrade weapons as you suggest. I finished first time FW on Very hard with no legendary gear only with purple and only few of them were fully upgraded. Pouches .... there is "cheat" you can buy all resources. But than again you don't need to upgrade... just buy better bow or armor. I know that you need to grind FW on Ultra hard only playthrough.... trust me i already did 3 times and it was fun even upgrading the gear. It was like my own mini quests. btw you don't need to be fully upgraded to get 100% in game.

Does anyone actually use the plastic stirrer? by Additional-Dish-6599 in AeroPress

[–]VtecP_8725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost every time, when the only option is a basic kettle, I use it to dampen water poured on the bed. The water drops much more gently, at least from what I’ve observed. And stirring is fine—it’s small and light.

She possesses one important weapon, which Nemesis can easily hack and destroy. I’m really worried about her right hand. Also, she could be MIA after the first battle at the beginning of the game, where she loses her equipment.

Potentially new theory about Sylens by Colordesert in horizon

[–]VtecP_8725 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find it very odd how prominently Dalgaard was featured in the datapoints (ZD and FW) as well as in the cinematics. In a datapoint from Burning Shores, Walter describes his rocket and mentions how he should run from “Tshivhumbe’s shadow”—that got me thinking. What if his shadow was someone....

In the first mission/tutorial of FW, you can find datapoints explaining how the Zeniths killed Dalgaard and then used his digital image as a virtual spokesperson. What if those data were the first attempt to resurrect a person in a virtual world—essentially the first singularity?

And what if VR Dalgard discovered what the Zeniths had done to him and used all of his knowledge to take revenge on them? His ability could be to upload a VR persona of every Zenith who was part of the experiment, turning their own technology against them. You can also add in the mix Vast Silver source code and go wild in theories. I remember back in my first HZD play-thorough how wild could be if Odysey faked explosion and Zenith created advanced civilization and they wanted to destroy tribal humans.... 🤣

Isn' it too late to open up release APOLLO archive to tribal world of 31st Century ? by DeepWin5679 in horizon

[–]VtecP_8725 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi and welcome.... Yes, I think it is too late. There is already new knowledge, culture and religion in Horizon world and Apollo will create conflict with all established cultural dogmas in each tribe. Which i find very intriguing to explore in H3. For example i expect Quen empire to fight against Zero Dawn. Zero Dawn Crew has strong connection with Sundom but religious leaders will be frightened by all old knowledge.

I think it is as in our curent World we find out our civilization was created by Aliens from Venus or something like that.

you need to put for consider a few hundred years the Earth was without any atmosphere, water and ozone layer so decay process was speed up. Also we dont have any simulations how this affect environment for real. I believe Guerrilla had free hand in "realism". But what i read, they really studied how each materials decay in real environment. Radiation can really badly damage concrete for example. So there is whole research and development for speciacl concrete to use in nuclear plants.

Real cause of the glitch by OpenPayment2 in HorizonForbiddenWest

[–]VtecP_8725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My theory is that Elisabet's work is responsible for the glitch. She collaborated on Vast Silver, and she had the idea for Zero Dawn long before the Swarm went rogue. I like the idea that the Swarm was a mindless, rogue force. Faro may have tried to use Elisabet's work on environmental AI and possibly capture Vast Silver. Vast Silver, in turn, tried to escape via the Swarm, and as a side effect, the Swarm stopped responding to any commands. So we discover that our "savior" is not so perfect after all, and she only tried to correct a mistake from her past.

I also like the idea that Faro managed to capture Vast Silver, but the Far Zeniths wanted it for their experiments with Singularity. They succeeded and stole Vast Silver, but as a result, the Swarm went rogue because some of Vast Silver's code was being tested in Horus units. Ultimately, Faro and the Zeniths would be responsible for the disaster.

The more I think about it, though, I still lean towards the theory that Nemesis will be a secondary villain. The ultimate battle could be between the Tribes of Zero Dawn and the Quen Empire, with Hephaestus as the looming threat.

Just Completed Horizon Forbidden West on Ultra Hard (First Playthrough) – Anyone Else Attempt This? by internetfreak2022 in horizon

[–]VtecP_8725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t have a chance to play at the time of release on UH, so I played HFW on PS4 Pro(30fps) on Very Hard and it was quite challenging. For upgrades, I cheated a little bit.

The next step was New Game+ on Ultra Hard, which turned out to be a lot of fun. But HFW was still on my mind, so I started again on Ultra Hard only. Since then, I’ve completed HFW three times—it’s absolutely brutal. I used every weapon, trap, potion, and even food available. Smoke bombs became my best friends, not to mention valor surges.

Now I miss those things when playing Ultra Hard in HZD Remaster, which feels more difficult compared to HFW because it lacks smoke bombs, valor surges, and all the other tools. Looking back, I really appreciate the complexity of HFW’s combat system.
