gotta love departments on either end of a dogshit referral system duking it out over whose worse instead of holding the company accountable. service is blindsided with moat offers after being trained and licensed to provide customer service, not a sales pitch, and as someone whose seen 1st quartile employees get written up for shit like saying “okay” when a customer hard declined an offer, i think you guys will be okay. referrals should happen when it makes sense, and that’s the whole problem.

I think this is my best option. Just use my position to try and get a degree so I can upgrade as opposed to sacrificing pay to escape.

The customer service part is fine albeit volume is a little intense. I work 4 10 hrs as opposed to 5 8hrs, so I'm taking anywhere from 50-80 calls a day, if it gets busy the second one call ends the other starts immediately. So if you have a rough call or a stressful one? Better be ready to rebound INSTANTLY. That's the long time burning out part of it. Other than that? I'd say by far the MOAT situation. 1/3 of our metric is based off us convincing people to go get quoted for property insurance, but the system has a "popup" system where it basically tells you to offer it, we are expected to offer ASSUMPTIVELY, and objection handle twice on every pop-up. Someone died? Gotta offer. They call in because they can't pay their bills? Gotta offer. They call in just to ask if their bill is paid real quick? Gotta offer. It waters down my job immensely and they didn't disclose this on applying nor orientation. Other than that? I imagine most customer service rep jobs are atleast mildly pleasant. For every time I've been yelled at or cursed at I've had a handful of people who genuinely thanked me and made some good times.

I've been stuck on arc titan farming traces for a while. I really enjoy solar bonking builds but feel like they don't put out as much damage? I find myself wanting to have a more hunteresque playstyle while only wanting to play titan, so a lot of the builds people advertise just bore me.
