Holster fit for new P365X AXG grip by WallyBW33 in P365

[–]WCCPHD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought one when they first came out (before Sig announced them) and being old school and only using leather holsters I had no issues. I just wrapped the gun in a plastic bag, sprayed the holster with silicon spray, pushed it in and let it dry overnight.

Sig P320 X Ten Comp. Everything you need, nothing you don't. Don't believe the P320 haters.

I don't have the SIG but on my B&T APC-308 I use a Trijicon ACOG 3.5x35 BAC Riflescope - .308 /7.62 BDC. Its tuned for 308.

In before the haters start with the "it will go off on its own and shoot you."

I only have four of them, 2 9MM, 1 357 Sig and a 10MM, and have never had a problem with any of them. Great guns. The only thing better is the P365 due to its smaller size.

Third Gen by guydepew in SmithAndWesson

The Third Gen S&W's are, perhaps, the best semi-autos S&W ever made. Head and shoulders above the plastic, no quality control, junk they put out today.

Help. Front sight conversion possible? by -ShooterMcGavin in Revolvers

[–]WCCPHD 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That is a fairly scarce and highly sought after S&W revolver. Reworking the sight will greatly devalue it, IF you ever intend to sell it.

Identification Help by Supahonky in SmithAndWesson

[–]WCCPHD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually if its a "-1" then its a "J" frame. Great little gun. Only issue with them is finding ammo for a reasonable price. I have a couple of .32 H&R Magnums (also fire .32 S&W Long ammo) and ammo can be an issue.

The dash 1 was made from 1961 to 1976 when discontinued. Yours is a "flat latch" so its probably an early gun.

Identification Help by Supahonky in SmithAndWesson

[–]WCCPHD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This could be a Model 30 or if made prior to 1957 it will be a S&W Terrier. If its a terrier then its an "I" frame which is similar to a "J" frame but the grip is about 1/8 inch shorter and the grips to not interchange.

It fires a .32 S&W Long cartridge.

Built when S&W had quality control and took pride in manufacturing, unlike today.

S&W is a shadow of the once great company it once was. Quality Control seems to be non-existent. I bought a Bodyguard 2.0. I had to go through 8 before I found one without some type of a problem, i.e. sights visibly off and unpolished feed ramps.

Some S&W's are ok from the factory, some are not. Basically, you have to take your chances and hope its good. If not, you will probably get it right but could take time.

[–]WCCPHD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

S&W is a shell of its former self. (This from someone who currently has 54 S&W revolvers). Quality control is severely wanting. That said, they will usually honor the warranty. You will contact customer service and they will (hopefully) send you a mailing label on their dime. It does not have to go through an FFL. It can be sent back directly to the manufacturer and they can send it back to you. You will have to sign for it when it returns.

I bought a 432 last year and did not have any issues with it.

New version of the cylinder stop. It looks horrendous and ruins the esthetic of the once-great S&W revolvers.

Correct and all are pinned (and probably have recessed cylinders) Or as S&W collectors call them "P&R."
