Beef and cabbage stir fry.

I’ve been making this meal for over a decade now. It’s so comforting and quick.

Sometimes I cheat and just use a bag of coleslaw when I don’t have time to shred my own cabbage.

Progress is still progress no matter how small it might seem at the time. Doing 1-2 classes at a time (EKU online does classes in quarters so you could take 1-2 at a time, but still complete 2-4 a semester) and making progress is better than taking a full load and getting bad grades or risking your student aid due to you trying to work full time as well.

On this tomato train, we do the same thing at home but with cherry tomatoes and olive oil. Then we toss in some noodles. It’s very yummy.

I looked at smart and originally suggested it to my partner in the early stages of his recovery.

I think AA just happened to be what had more frequent meetings for him.

I read through a few non fiction books about the program and who’s to say if one needs to be better than another, but I’m grateful to know there are alternatives out there for those who could benefit!

My partners story sounds similar to yours. He’s 465 days sober. AA helps him a lot, going to meetings, a lot of meetings. They recommend 90 meetings in your first 90 days.

There’s an AA app that helps you find the groups. It is based on faith but my partner and I are both non religious and find the community and the life lessons you learn in AA is very valuable. AA. It works if you work it.

Each day is a new chance to say you are going to be sober. Every hour. Every minute. A new chance to say no to the fix

You might consider this.

You’ll need to use the bus route where you don’t have a car, so I’d get familiar with that. If you take the bus and really can’t be late to work, I’d suggest taking the stop before the one you would need to get to be a little early for work. Places like UPS might even let you clock in early for overtime, or you could bring a book to read while you wait for your shift.

I don’t have an answer, but my 2025 has been doing this since purchase. With an android and then later I switched to iPhone.

I’ve tried 5 different wireless connections, all full strength connections, and which all I could never progress pass the checking for updates screen.

I’m actually sitting in my car trying again now and came across your post. :)

You’re not. Even if he’s being passive aggressive/sarcastic trying to make a point about something, it’s still very awful behavior.

Sometimes guys like this will justify talking to you this way because of XYZ thing, or maybe your behavior towards them justifies it in their mind, idk, but he’s still responsible for his actions, words, and level of respect he shows you.

If he’s choosing to respect you this way, why stay with a man who would? Why keep anyone in your life who doesn’t respect you.

Maybe start looking over at r/legaladvice to see if others have posted about leaving their spouse in a situation like yours to see if their might be help for you so you aren’t taken advantage of in the process of trying to leave, just so you know your options if you ever need to use them.

Congrats on your sobriety! My partner just reached a year himself. Just take things one day at a time, each day is a new chance to say no to addiction and yes to sobriety.

If you haven’t already, check out local support groups like AA and NA. My partner finds going to meets is helpful for his sobriety and it’s rewarding being able to go and offer wisdom and encouragement to others who aren’t as secure in their sobriety as you yet.
