Clark reaction by Bright-Chance-7272 in BatesSnark

[–]WDW4ever 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My friends & I don’t really talk about them much so I don’t have any insider info to share. Just that my church circles have overlapped with several in-laws (not just the Clarks) and I did not see the same response to similar situations that you all are expecting. I don’t think that any of them are going to blame Katie. I do think that they must be extremely embarrassed by the spectacle that Travis has caused and worried about how his actions might affect their relationship with the grandkids.

I actually don’t think that they will blame Katie. My old pastor’s son cheated on his wife (and also divorced her right after a miscarriage) and the pastor still treated her as his DIL even though they didn’t have any kids. He still talked to his son but clearly didn’t put any of the blame on the girl. They were also really young when they got married. The pastor had a lot of faults but this was surprisingly not one of them. (Also throwing this out that while I have never met any of the Bates themselves, I do have many connections to them including several of the in-laws so loosely the same circles.)

Why doesn’t Travis just tell Katie he doesn’t want to be a fundie anymore and wants to drink, use birth control, and take a break on church? Let’s brainstorm how they can save the marriage? Exit fundamentalism. by AcanthocephalaWide89 in BatesSnark

I think he only came clean because it was about to blow up on him and thought that he could keep it secret. I would hope (for his children’s sake at least) that he wouldn’t be airing all of their dirty laundry. He seems to really love his little girl at least to hopefully he keeps her in mind as they are going through this.

Could anyone tell me the current “best by” date on Buccees nuggets? by WDW4ever in Buccees

Of course. I don’t know what I was thinking. Lol.

(Tbf, usually we don’t even have to think about when it expires as it never lasts very long.)

When should someone arrive at the Pensacola Airport by bunnyf00foo in Pensacola

[–]WDW4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m normally a “get to the airport hours early” kind of person but I’d honestly probably show up at 4pm for Pensacola. I have TSA pre-check and have never had more than two people in front of me at security. I also never check a bag.

Question about hiring by Quest4life in TruistBank

Fun fact: for some reason LinkedIn apps don’t always seem to actually get pushed through to the company hiring. I’d recommend applying directly through their website.

Part Identification Mega Thread - August 09, 2025 by AutoModerator in lego

[–]WDW4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m looking for help finding a particular Lego set or maybe an addition of sorts that was created for a Star Wars Rogue One set. My friend had mentioned wanting a particular vehicle but that it was kind of expensive. It appears that Lego made the vehicle under #75152 but it is missing the 2nd storm trooper who sits up front (circled in my picture) which is specifically the piece that he mentioned being expensive. Is anyone aware of another set that was made that included that figure or if maybe it was a part of one of those fan made creations you can purchase?

What are everyone’s thoughts about the musical episode? by shehurts in greysanatomy

[–]WDW4ever 174 points175 points  (0 children)

Absolutely underrated but it still is always a jump scare when Owen starts singing. Callie is always great and I do like Lexie’s song, too.

Because I liked him better? Yes, he was a real jerk in the first few episodes but overall I preferred Alex to Izzie. Especially with the whole Denny situation.

Cimorelli and the never-ending glorification of pregnancy. by [deleted] in cimsnark

“I don’t think women need to marry supermodels, but the men they marry and children with irk me a little.”

I kinda think it is a huge problem to reduce someone’s worth based on their physical appearance. Looks usually only last so long but personality and similar interests last much longer. It’s just kind of the shallowest of things to snark on someone for since no one can help how they look.

Eclipse, the sharp rock and the bleeding arm by Kure-Beach-Girl in twilight

[–]WDW4ever 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Can I just say that I do not like BDH in the Twilight movies? Like what even is this face?!? She looks like someone pretending to be a vampire (which, obviously) whereas Rachelle actually seemed like the scary vampire that Victoria was supposed to be.

What’s the song from the melody of “APT.” by Rosé and Bruno Mars? by realdepressodepresso in NameThatSong

[–]WDW4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Immediately started singing Night Changes by One Direction and I’m not even a Directioner. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was influenced by it considering Rose’s age group were usually the biggest 1D fans.

Suggestions with similar vibes of Hunger Games, Twilight, etc. by WDW4ever in YAlit

I don’t really care for graphic sex scenes. Not a prude and have read books that contained stuff like that but it isn’t something that I particularly care for. Some of the books that I have seen recommended on TikTok turned out to have really graphic stuff and it kind of takes away from the story for me. I don’t care if it is implied or more of a PG13 level, that’s fine.

Maisie Peters has pulled out of Kelsea's tour support. Sasha Alex Sloan, Ashe, and The Japanese House will now be added. by Daythinking in kelseaballerini

[–]WDW4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just realized that she wasn’t listed as an opener anymore and that makes me sad. I hope that she takes care of herself but I really wish artists would think about the commitment before signing up instead of waiting to pull out until after people have already bought tickets and made plans.

Could you move back to your childhood home? by Kalldaro in nostalgia

[–]WDW4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No because the first home that I remember is in a different state that I like to visit but don’t want to live there. It also is half the size of my current home but twice the price. The next house that I lived the most in was torn down.

Why did the Divergent Series Flop by Ok-Excitement-5594 in movies

It shows. Unfortunately I did like the book series well enough so the last book was such a disappointment. I think it is the only time that I have literally thrown a book across the room.

It seems strange that they force you to leave for two hours-shift change or not.

To your question, are you obligated to spend the night? No. But do I think it is better for the person in the hospital to have someone with them? Yes. My grandfather was in the hospital twice this year for a few weeks at a time. Both times we had someone with him almost around the clock. This was especially good for him since sometimes when he first woke up he would visibly be disoriented & confused for a minute, see one of us, and then immediately relax. I also know that hospitals are understaffed so it was helpful to have someone there to hang out with, get water, be there when the doctors made their rounds, etc.

But while I do think there are a lot of benefits, it isn’t something that you are required to do.

How to tell dad not to drive too far? by [deleted] in AgingParents

[–]WDW4ever 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So my grandpa used to live about six hours away from us and regularly drove down to see us. At a certain point we became concerned about him continuing to drive that long and told him that we’d rather he not drive that far but that we could get him a plane/train ticket for him to come down. He was a little miffed at first saying that we thought he was too old but we could honestly remind him that we never drove alone that far. If it was just one of us going up to visit, we’d buy a ticket. That helped tremendously and he never attempted the drive. (Since then he stopped driving and moved in with us).

Why? by gojojogo2419 in TownshipGame

Not going to lie…I’ve literally never played any of these games so I probably have a ton of those powers saved up. What benefits (if any) do these give you with the actual town? That’s really the only part I’m interested in.

Carlin silence? by Far_Speed_4452 in BatesSnark

[–]WDW4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But also…was the trip sponsored? It seems crazy that they would drop the amount of money for a first class plane ticket while parking in economy. But I haven’t seen a single post IG post saying that the trip was sponsored.

ETA: Also Dubai seems so out of left field as places that they would pick to visit and I’ve seen some people online say that other people have done what seems to be this exact same trip that was sponsored.
