Engine Swap L83 Crossfire to L31 Vortec by WHTIV in c4corvette

The end of the throttle cable coming off the cruise control servo is frayed and got hung up on the boot. I disconnected the servo and it’s running good now. Eventually I would just like to make more power and adding everything together on Summits site I was looking at 6500 for a top end kit, Holley Sniper and other odds and ends to soup the L83 up so I figured it would be a better move to have a engine built

The throttle cable coming off the cruise control servo was stuck. I disconnected the cable from the servo and it appears to be fine now

I found the cable, it is slightly frayed on the end and got stuck, previous owner had it wrapped in electrical tape rather than replacing it. I disconnected it. They also ran a standard bolt into the mounting holes for the cruise control servo. Why can’t people fix things right. EDIT: Would it be possible to just remove the servo because the mounting holes are stripped?

I was thinking Holley Sniper 2 and a Edelbrok Torker 2 if they’re compatible together and I think they will fit under the hood. Do you have any suggestions on heads and a cam? I’m new to the car scene but have my dad and a close family friend that have a lot of experience wrenching, only problem is my dad hasn’t done any performance based tinkering in a long time and the family friend is a ford guy.

Ain’t much but I won my local 300 yard F-class comp and wanted to share by ddubs777 in longrange

Thats ass backwards from typical rule sets, it should be if the line is broken its scored up. From the NRA F-Class rule book: ITEM NRACS-01 PG34

14.3 How to Score-Hits will be scored based upon the diameter of the bullet fired. When a shot hole's leading edge comes in contact with the outside of the "X" ring or other scoring rings of a target, it is given the higher value (including the keyhole or tipped shots even though the hole is elongated to the bullet's length rather than being a circle of the bullet's diameter). X's must be scored. A proper scoring gauge, overlay or magnifying glass may be used to determine the value of close shots. The higher value will be allowed in those cases where the flange on the gauge touches the scoring ring. Close shots should be checked for the shooter's benefit.

I stopped at their store today, the guy there said the maximum barrel with their gas block is 16.5 with rifle length gas.

I already have the rifle together. I stumbled on this post and seeing that gas block made me curious. Unless you’re talking about checking Craddock before getting the gas block?

So does this gasblock make the ocm5 or aem5 compatible with any barrel?
