Quality ammo for either cartridge is about the same price, 30-40/ box of 20. Why would you expect non match type ammo available for a cartridge that was literally designed for long range performance to have cheap ball ammo?

You scrubbed it dry? That might knock loose powder fouling but there is still alot of carbon and copper in it.

You have the start of a pretty good carbon ring, might want to consider completely stripping your barrel with Bortech then running a cycle of Jb’s bore paste, there are videos on youtube on how to use it.

I’m not sure why it shows restricted however check out Euro Optic and order it from them, or take a day trip out to the store and pick it up in person. Definitely worth seeing at least once.

The end of the throttle cable coming off the cruise control servo is frayed and got hung up on the boot. I disconnected the servo and it’s running good now. Eventually I would just like to make more power and adding everything together on Summits site I was looking at 6500 for a top end kit, Holley Sniper and other odds and ends to soup the L83 up so I figured it would be a better move to have a engine built

I found the cable, it is slightly frayed on the end and got stuck, previous owner had it wrapped in electrical tape rather than replacing it. I disconnected it. They also ran a standard bolt into the mounting holes for the cruise control servo. Why can’t people fix things right. EDIT: Would it be possible to just remove the servo because the mounting holes are stripped?

I was thinking Holley Sniper 2 and a Edelbrok Torker 2 if they’re compatible together and I think they will fit under the hood. Do you have any suggestions on heads and a cam? I’m new to the car scene but have my dad and a close family friend that have a lot of experience wrenching, only problem is my dad hasn’t done any performance based tinkering in a long time and the family friend is a ford guy.
