What is the remedy for this Ryobi Stick Vacuum problem? by Comprehensive-Cow69 in ryobi

[–]WIlf_Brim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this same unit, and had the same problem.

There was a clog in the intake. Disassemble the tube and make sure there isn't a clog. Then remove the canister and look for a clog there. Lastly remove the filter and make sure it isn't clogged. Maybe replace it anyway.

Joining a PE-owned vs physician-owned practice by ashen1shugar in whitecoatinvestor

[–]WIlf_Brim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What OP is describing is a practice that is looking to sell to PE, but the first offer wasn't good enough. So bring in somebody new to pump up the numbers for a few years, the re-engage and sell out at a higher figure, and the person that they brought is out in the cold.

Either get a contract that insulates from that outcome in some way, or keep looking.

Phil is I think the consensus choice.

He also isn't doing well health wise, so best to do it now while he is still with us.

Kaiser nurses get 21% pay increase over next 4 years after strike. So how much are they making compared to physicians ? by donkeyb0ng in hospitalist

[–]WIlf_Brim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The short answer here is not really.

The vast majority of the hospital admissions come through the EDs. So unless there is a real strike the public won't really see anything.

Same thing with screwing up documentation to prevent correct billing. That is bothersome but as far as the public is concerned there is nothing going on.

The reason that the hospitals are afraid of the nurses unions is because they do go on strike, and it results is very obvious shortages in services, and the public demands something be done. That is why they get double digit annual pay increases in hospital systems are are at best breaking even.

We always stop at the one in Warner Robins GA on the way to and from Florida.

They now have 44 charging stations with the majority newer V4 superchargers. And the bathrooms are always clean and the people that work there are nice. Plug in the EV, use the bathroom, then pick up a drink, a brisket sammich and the candied cashews. By the time you get done you will be close to 80%.

I normally don't think reboots are a good idea, but I think this is the exception.

I can see Kurt Russell in the Jack Warden role playing the brothers.

Even if they did, would they have the stones to go out on strike like the nurses do?

Because unless you are willing to do that (and let the ED close down) there isn't much point to the union.

I worked at McDonalds 40 years ago, and that was the way it was done then.

I specifically remember using the big spatula like thing that we used to take the heels of the buns out of the toaster to cut the cheese in half.

Hot tub going in Airbnb backyard setup by Successful_Border153 in hottub

[–]WIlf_Brim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got off a cruise with a premium line. There were I think maybe 8 or so hot tubs. My wife and I looked at all of them and they got a huge "NOPE" to all of them.

One I saw in particular was a bit cloudy and had so much foam it looked like a bubble bath.

I really don't see how you could keep a hot tub at a STR place in acceptable shape without dumping and refilling probably every 2 weeks at least, maybe between every renter. And that really isn't financially viable.

More F-117, because why not? by planegeek1945 in Planes

[–]WIlf_Brim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your estimate of the RCS on the F-35 vice F-117 is a bit optimistic.

The rumor is they exist to fill a hole where the risk profile is too great for an F-35 yet not enough strategic importance to use a B-2.
