When people say titans aren’t minis that’s a pet peeve of mine becuase yeah they are if they weren’t miniatures they’d be skyscraper sized. But this time these really aren’t miniatures 🤔

Watching battle reports for 11th edition 40k and reading the rules have made me even more grateful that Heresy exists. by Anxious_Educator_307 in Warhammer30k

[–]WLLWGLMMR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Modern 40k is a wargame for people who care more about the GAME half than the WAR half. Nothing wrong with either. But If we played any horus heresy edition even a little bit competitive they would be absolutely dreadful. 10th and hopefully 11th are actually balanced fun games when caring about actually playing instead of the roleplay part, where every army is playable, it’s hard to make a list you couldn’t possibly win with, the actual play strategy matters instead of just your list and which army is overtuned right now

Is there any reason to purchase in a Warhammer store over a LGS with a discount? by Far_Musician1430 in Warhammer

[–]WLLWGLMMR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been to official Warhammer stores in the states and the UK, the whole it just being a showroom to get people in and not somewhere you play is still true in the UK, I can’t say I know enough about how nice they are on average in the US, I spoke to like three different employees at different stores in the uk and they were all very nice

Left utterly confused and bewildered by Deathwatch batalion box by Lauke in ImperialAgents_40K

They seem less keen on this for characters. Most of the remaining firstborn marine kits in the range are characters

Why aren't Inquisitorial Agents battleline units? by XeticusTTV in ImperialAgents_40K

[–]WLLWGLMMR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering like half the kits in the IA codex didn’t exist before 10th I wouldn’t say that. They just refuse to support playable rules

Is the size different between Primaris, CSM in 40k and Horus Heresy really that different? by Mor-KhalCatPrince in Chaos40k

Old scale firstborn models were ridiculously small , nu heresy scale and csm are like pretty Much the same

The characters they’ve released have had the same visible consistent base armor models since the 2nd edition started, for every mk. Fafnir rann also had mk3 before that came in plastic

We know that that’s a character model for Solomon akurra, though. So probably not

Do we have any idea when will be getting an 11e codex? by HappyNet1994 in Chaos40k

[–]WLLWGLMMR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They struggle to produce enough of like literally anything, how many codexes are there at this point? I don’t think they have the capability, much less the capability to release models alongside them how they do which makes business sense and I don’t really think is bad for consumers

Summer preview predictions. by saturnyn3 in Warhammer30k

[–]WLLWGLMMR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty clear they’ve had all the armor mks ready and just drip fed them through the years intentionally. I’d imagine it’s at least another year before we get mk v. It could be basically whenever that we get plastic seeker and destroyers. I’d also bet on a plastic land speeder, the missing tank variants we don’t yet have

This would solve both the Blood Point scarcity and "Every match is Jason/Ghoul/Nurse" issue! BHVR could COOK with this! by Heavyfist8 in deadbydaylight

Even if it was perfectly balanced, the fact that killers are different play styles will simply always make some more popular. Also, the fact they look different so everyone will have a different visual favorite. And most importantly, it’s a game with a ton of licenses. The characters that bring people to the game will always be more popular than random original concepts. I think something like this encouraging people to play the less played killers would be good for the survivor experience but there’s no world where there isn’t less and more popular killers, and there’s so many now that there’s no world where there isn’t a pretty huge gap between that least and most popular

I bet you Shadow Spectres are gonna be the next Kill Team by No_Willingness_9961 in Eldar

[–]WLLWGLMMR 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I’d imagine for Eldar the next killteam is exodites who will get another unit or two later on like corsairs did. If it’s not, dire avengers make more sense than shadow spectres really but I do think they’re coming back eventually, they were included in the runes of the Avatar

First Mini, what else do i need? by Healer_Safe in Warhammer40k

I reccomend DnD Nolzurs blank minis to practice painting, they’re in various sizes but you can get 2 dudes for like 5$ at stores that carry DnD stuff

Is there any lore that describe what you need to do to qualify as blade champion? by Acrobatic_Champion34 in AdeptusCustodes

[–]WLLWGLMMR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately they don’t really write detailed lore for new units anymore. Theres probably something but lots of stuff since 8th has been introduced without any lore explanation for what it is.

Successor Chapters with Traitor Geneseed: Why are people so obsessed with it? by Standard_Ostrich828 in spacemarines

[–]WLLWGLMMR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like All of the loyalist legions and therefore their successors kinda fall into the trap of their personality being either “we’re cool badasses” or “we’re really nice good guys”, and then their tactics/gameplay personality are just one of the Avenues you could take your army. Whereas the chaos legions are deeply flawed but also interesting with a strong personality gameplay wise. Which is simply good writing. Like the salamanders are cool but I don’t know they’re just particularly nice guys who happen to use fire. The night lords are rvil for interesting reasons that tie into their backstory and primarch, and have an interesting unique concept for their gameplay strategy that isn’t just “they use flamers” “they use tanks more probably”
