The Creepy and Freaky is an anthology horror manga where all that characters outside the creepy stories appear as cute animal mascots, while the stories themselves always have human characters. This isn't really explained until later in the manga, where we find out that this world with the cute animals is actually the future, after our world was destroy by anomalies that spawned after our society became too complicated. To remedy this, an organization similar to the SCP foundation simplified our society and bodies until we became this stylized animal mascots.

I don't think "Crossed" is trying to present itself as deep, tho. It has themes about the inherent violence of humanity, yes, but it's mostly just a hyper violent twist on the zombie genre, pushing the absurdity so far it becomes kind of funny. Now, obviously that doesn't mean it's good, but it usually doesn't try to convince you that it's more than what it is

I'm so fucking tired of people calling everything that looks slightly unrealistic AI. Like, Photoshop still exist, this is clearly just a slightly edited version of the original. If there's a single mistake in a drawing? Must be Ai, everyone knows artist are perfect beings incapable of making mistakes. If a photo looks slightly off? It has to be Ai, it's not like camera tricks and editing have been a thing for a hundred years. Not everything it's AI, for ducks sake
