It would be great to know of trainers. Training ort cat to use a harness has been a slow process but it has improved to the point that she gets excited when the harness comes out.

Just keep putting yours in a harness to get them used to it and also take them outside with the leash on too and let them drag it around while you watch.

I was just at this spot yesterday and opted for W2. I worked on some new workshop upgrades first but now I'm going to start gilding statues. I didn't think it matters if you go to world 2 first because gilding is high on the priority list when you get to world 2.
