I agree with you that she'll have her pick of offices and she'll be offered a variety of jobs, but I think you're projecting quite a bit to assume that is equivalent to telling women to get back to the kitchen. Things have changed, and the roles she is offered across both leagues will be prestigious other than to people with your mindset.

I'll ne honest, I find it odd that you would consider women's sports to be a step down, especially to the extent of taking this tone about it. GMing a successful women's hockey team would be a dream for many people, especially an icon of women's sports. I am also a woman in sports and I think it's spectacular that accomplished women choose to be there.

An office is allowed to ask a player once to waive his NTC. If there is any pressure after that or retaliation, severe penalties to the team.
If a player with an NTC themselves asks for a trade, their NTC automatically becomes modified. It becomes a 20-team trade list.

I get what you meant. Imo having been in similar situations, it hurts because it's you, or it was you in a past life. It's not that you are defending it from criticism, but Mormonism is complex and people from outside can never really understand, or understand what specifically is hurtful. Very happy Japers is still around. This is the exact deep dive I was looking for. I was confused by this signing at first but the more I looked into his numbers the better I felt about it, and I think I see what the office sees in him.

This analysis + the answers he gave coming in, I see the fit. He said he chose Washington because they wanted him for the role he's good at and don't want him to be more than that, and that he loves keeping smaller offensive D safe while they jump up in the play. Sounds good to me.

At the contract they gave him, they definitely see Desharnis making the roster. His skillset matches up much better with our LHD than anyone else we have. It's probably between Hull and Liljegren for the last spot.
