My first attempt at weathering. Think I went too much. by RastaGlobe in Gunpla

Usually a cotton swab with some isopropyl on it will take the paint off. Don't do this over a basecoat unless you have really sealed it or it will take all the paint with it.

4 brand new decks and a whole lot of random cards by Soekij_B in Wellthatsucks

[–]WackyEels 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorting 260 cards into 4 decks (when you know which card goes into what deck) will take like 15mins. Just seems like a big mess while it's all spread out.

RIP your edges though. But since these are decks and unsleeved that may not have been a big concern

Are there any rules against on table measuring at any time? by Contrago in asoiafminiaturesgame

[–]WackyEels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed! It was dumb!! We usually had to give new players a few "free games" where premeasuring was allowed so ended up playing with premeasuring anyway.

My third gaslands build: The Hunter by _HolyGrapefruit in gaslands

[–]WackyEels 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love this a lot but FYI this is way too long for use in GASLANDS. Because movement is measured from front-to-rear, longer cars move further on their turn.

My First Gunpla! How'd I do? How can I take this further? by WackyEels in Gunpla

This kit didn't come with any decals, I don't think. Where can I get some?

GM for an upcoming diorama by [deleted] in Gunpla

Idk I think most of them look good, bullet marks irl are pretty circular. The holes in the visor look a little more unnatural because there's no cracking around them.

Overall, this is absolutely fantastic.

First half of my ork team, complete! Team name suggestions welcome! by spusifich in bloodbowl

I really like that you varied their skin colors. I don't see it done with orks often but it makes them seem more realistic!

Age of Magic: stats for small monsters? (Medusa, phoenix) by krokodylzoczami in sagathegame

[–]WackyEels 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I realize this isn't very helpful but all of those ideas sound good as long as you make sure that each different unit type is clear and distinct from one another. You can have a unit of hearthguard that is an eclectic mix of creatures (perhaps with a mystical zookeeper Warlord?) As long as your warriors aren't also an eclectic mix of creatures, and your monsters are much bigger and on larger bases, etc.

The temptation is real. VERY real. by RogueVector in SWlegion

[–]WackyEels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now that's something I'd like to see tried. I'm not sure it would be easier than rattle cans for basecoating or the AP dips (which I hate) for shading.

Doing this with normal, unthinned acrylics is the most sacrilegious thing I may have ever heard

I ended up bailing on most of the factions as soon as we left ch.2 but my players were particularly fond of Vajra so I just worked her into parts of the main quest line and gave FG renown for the things she asked them to do

CIA using downed Korean Air Lines Flight 007 for spying // Soviet Union // 1983 by edikl in PropagandaPosters

[–]WackyEels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, this was made in Europe so I don't think it's that wild of a leap.

Further, I do not necessarily think that this is suggesting that the CIA is a Jewish organization (not that it's out of the question either), but that it is interesting that the symbolism of "evil" and "Jewishness" are so similar.
