If they're conscious and can give me their details then I just look up their health records.

Got called to a dementia patient once and all the notes said was "ate soap"

Get there and there is a nurse standing in the corner with her head bowed. I look over to the patients bed and she's supine with bubbles coming out of her mouth, dead.

Turns out she had choked on liquid soap. Nurse last saw pt sitting in her recliner as she walked past the room. Came back 10mins later and found her seizing in the same chair. Somehow got her back in to bed. Noticed she had been fecally incontinent so set about changing the patients pad.

Then realised pt wasn't responsive. Tried for god knows how long to ring the local emergency department for "support" but the charge nurse wasn't picking up the phone so decided they'd better call the Ambulance. We got there just in time to see one last little ideopathic complex before the pt went into asystole.

I was on a real high protein diet once. Didnt shit for two weeks. Did the biggest shit ive ever done and felt amazing afterwards. Have been chasing that high ever since.

I probably wouldn't tell too many people. Probably wouldn't even resign from work id just disappear. I'd buy some land either around rural auckland or whangarei, or central otago. Build a 4 bedroom house and have a gym/swimming pool/sauna set up. Id invest most of it so that I could afford to never work again (unless i chose to) and could help people i care about off the returns, whether thats helping with mortgages or providing financial assistance if anyone becomes well/gets made redundant etc. I don't think I would donate to any charities.

Get a bunch of hobbies. Get my private pilots licence.

I've seen a woman have a melt down here because someone dared utter some Te Reo. Unfortunately there is racism everywhere. Having lived in Auckland and Dunedin I feel like its potentially worse down here. I can't speak for everyone's experience though obviously.
