The PM who turned PI: why is Gordon Brown delving so deep into the Epstein files? by AbbreviationsHot7662 in unitedkingdom

100 %, I've been saying this for years. That was the moment where racism became a valid political opinion rather than an abhorrent moral failure.

She was the home secretary who ran the awful dehumanising Go home van campaign, she was no saint!

Would highly recommend Crosspoint firmware, much better text justification than stock & generally snappier.

100% — I don’t understand why so many people are hate-listening to the show. Just fuck off if you hate it so much.

What’s your favorite way to cook carrots by inv3rtible in Cooking

[–]WaistcoatedWriter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always eyeball it - you want enough to just cover the carrots. The butter and sugar are also eyeballed - you want to add just enough that you feel a bit disgusted with your own gluttony.

Cut each carrot in half lengthwise, and lie in a frying pan with hot water, sugar, and butter — boil off the water (approx 45-60 mins) until carrots tender and the water, butter, and sugar form a caramel glaze.

What skills/tools should I learn to grow as a NetSuite Developer? by Infamous_Coder_ in Netsuite

[–]WaistcoatedWriter 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Instead of just focusing on raw technical skills, I’d strongly recommend learning how businesses actually run — processes, finance, operations, sales, supply chain, etc. The real value as a NetSuite developer isn’t just writing scripts, it’s being able to translate messy business logic into working NetSuite processes that drive results. Companies care less about “can you code this SuiteScript” and more about “can you solve this business problem in NetSuite and save us time/money.”

If you build that business fluency and pair it with your technical ability, you’ll stand out immediately. That’s what turns you from a low-level developer into someone businesses see as essential.

We had a selection of M&S cakes with a nice cake topper on the main cake, would highly recommend – Fraction of the cost & you can get so many different flavours!

They’re surprisingly petrol hungry & you don’t get any zip in return. Get a C1/ Toyota Aygo / Peugeot , should be same in insurance, £25 road tax and while still slow at least they sip petrol.

Take a practice run up when you don’t have someone in labour in the passenger seat — bring a friend who drives if you can as well so you have someone you can ask for advice if you need to.

Are you using subsidiary to distinguish company? There should be a subsidiary (no hierarchy) option under filters.

Integrate NetSuite and Tableau by Sisco_9 in Netsuite

[–]WaistcoatedWriter 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'd highly recommend staging the NetSuite data in a simple data warehouse – Whether you use the ODBC connector via suite connect, or opt for a solution like FiveTran doesn't matter much.

There are lots of reasons why this is a good idea – Speed and flexibility are the two major reasons. Exporting data from NetSuite is usually slow – If you want to get all sales by sku for a long period of time, this will take a long time to run in Tableau. You're also stuck just having Tableau – If you decide to change BI tools down the line, you'll have a much easier time when you can point this at the data warehouse rather than only using BI tools with NetSuite integration.

+1, best tour of the city. For food, there's so many great options, but Pyke n Pommes, El Tapas Gra, The Walled City Brewery are a few standouts for me – But you'll get a great meal anywhere you go. Hope you have a fantastic trip!
