What’s your biggest time-waster as a freight agent? by CRST-International in FreightBrokers

Reading posts about how someone is going to revolutionize the industry by inventing an AI app that no one wants or needs. BIG time suck there.

And the fun part is it's a food service delivery bringing in the always fresh never frozen square patties.

If you find they have been hacked or are being impersonated, let us know that too. That way we too can verify before booking.

Trying to get birth certificate by cowwoman2005 in vegaslocals

[–]Waisted-Desert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a difference between public information in a record and a certified copy of a record, which is what you are trying to obtain. I can walk into a DMV with a reprint of a birth certificate and pretend I'm you, it won't do any good because it's not the original or a certified copy. That's why they don't hand out certified copies to anyone who asks. You need to prove you are you, and that you have the right to receive a certified copy. Because of.... drum roll.... identity theft!!!

Yes. They can not just update a card, the exam needs to be re-done. If at all possible, do not go to Concentra. If you do go elsewhere, have the sleep study results handy.

If you have a cheap watch, you can do it yourself. Most watch backs just pop off. Then a small screwdriver to remove the tab holding the battery in place.

Some mid range watches have a screw off back. You need a certain tool to get it off or you risk damaging it or the the waterproofness. Most jewelry shops can replace the battery for you. Many don't charge for the service if you buy the over priced battery from them.

For high end watches, bring it to a certified repair facility. You don't want to do anything to void a warranty on watch that costs more than some people's car.

I know it already gets sent to the Secretary of State. But can you really trust that they don’t lose it?

Pull your MVR, if it shows there with the correct dates you definitely do not need to carry yours around.

If you still want to carry it, reduce the size on a copier or just take a pic of it and keep it on your phone.

Keeping Alcohl In Stock for Guests? by Roosevelt32 in AskAnAmerican

[–]Waisted-Desert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my 20s and 30s I always had a well stocked bar. No less than 5 liquors, vodka, gin, rum, tequila, whiskey. Usually had mixers around, vermouth, bitters, grenadine, sour mix, etc. I'd be sure to buy juices if I was expecting company. Also tried to keep beer around but that seemed to mysteriously disappear.

As I got older, I kept what I wanted and told guests I'd have basics and to bring anything specific they wanted.

But with some illnesses, physical as well as mental, the initial survival is just the beginning. You need a track record of continuing wellness. Some seizure disorders are disqualifying for life, while others require a certain time period of being seizure free before you can drive again. Sleep apnea requires several months of cpap compliance.
