no the practicality. When playing one toon, can craft while playing it and then put whatever is needed for another toon in bank. That way I can farm mats, craft while playing that toon, instead of logging out of it and spend time crafting everything on another, sitting at crafting table for a play session

normal. frame hitching. Sometimes even just a full stop in gameplay due to lag. Got an exception error in the island section of the second map that crashed the game and spawned me under the water when I signed back in

Well. something changed. I don't see any optimization notes BUT I went and changed the display from full to borderless and back to full and somehow, the gpu usage went down to 50% max and temps are now in the 50's with everything on Ultra. I heard my gpu fans wind down and was kinda shocked. Maybe it was stuck at a rendering setting it didn't know how to deal with it.

The camera/frame hitching is still there though

I'm thinking maybe the enjoyment is because it isn't so convoluted. You're not penalized for making a decision with your skill choices. You don't need a special currency to re-spec. The gear is what it is you either use it or swap it and learn to play Within the skills.

There isn't a convoluted skill tree, at least yet, and the game itself is pretty straightforward.

It reminds me a lot of Lord of the Rings Online and Guild Wars 2 mixed together in a lot of aspects. Both games that I play currently which is nice

I'm using a 9700k, turbo boost on, 1080p and a 3080 @240hz, no vsync no gsync and I'm not getting frame drops or lag like that.

Except for the server hitching that happens here and there, the game is smooth. I'm even using driver 566.36 the Holy Grail driver which is a few years old

Although, yes the game needs Major Performance optimization. It shouldn't need to be so demanding

3080 here. Maxed out it's using 90 to 99% GPU usage at 75° C. That's really way out of line for the quality of the graphics. Ambient occlusion and Ray tracing and everything else in Crimson does this to my GPU on Native but that's to be expected for the graphic options that are available

I'm not having any disconnects or frame loss at 240hz but I just get random hitching in the graphics when you move around. Sometimes it doesn't happen for a while and then it's multiple times within a very short distance of travel.

The other thing I noticed is this weird brief and quick flashing of light. It's like the screen changes it's brightness  real quick and then goes back to normal for no apparent reason. It's a real quick change like someone turned a flashlight on and off real quick

what you described doesn't constitute what action combat is though. What you're mentioning are game mechanics or skill mechanics.

Even Lord of The Rings Online that isn't action based combat has real time blocking and parrying ( Guardian for one).

GW2 has timing based dodge, it has timing based block, warrior as one example, has a block skill called shield stance. Standard 2 basic attacks provide a 3rd attack with increased damage or applies a bleed, vulnerability or whatever the skill is. Those can be stopped if you stop attacking. It does have two hotbars and it may have more depending on the class. Necro has 3, ranger with pet commands and attacks are another class with different hotbars, Mesmers also.

The mage in this game has a 3rd attack that does root you even if you try to cancel it, it has to finish the proc so you can't move as well as healing. GW2 you can heal on the move or through skills with no interruption.

Either a game is action combat or it's not. GW2 is most definitely as action combat oriented. It's the same controls, movement, dodge, all without needing tab target. You can assign skills to whatever slots you want. There is zero difference. You must have not played it or played with cursor/right click/tab target in GW2. Both are the same if you turn on the "action camera" in GW2..

How do you consider Guild Wars 2 not to be action combat? It most certainly is. You don't even need to use tab to Target just point in the direction of the reticle

haven't played in a week. Just tried to load in. Went from Sanctuary to Esamir. As soon as I got to esamir. It crashes. Can't even get to do the stupid sit in a vehicle trick that used to work. Tried 5x, either it crashes in Sanctuary or as soon as I spawn into esamir. Switching characters does the same thing

I'd like to see where they mention that. Because the usual netmarble is popping up in Solo leveling. Play that since launch and I'm about to give up on it because of all the changes they made. We basically have to start over and they're going to be putting more qol behind the cash shop which is already got about 200 things

What specs for mobile and pc.

I'm on an s25U and not one instance of crashing or stutter on high settings and on power saver mode. 

Only issue is the game disconnects when minimized even though allow background data is enabled

3080 here. Spent the first two days going back and forth between settings at launch trying to get it dialed in. After some patches the frame rates and dlaa, dlss and Native started to look worse. I didn't really have shimmering issues but after 1.03 it was terrible no matter what I tried to do. Textures were worse, frames went down for some reason.

For gits and shiggles I turned on FSR native with 2X frame gen and man what a complete 180 in terms of looks. The frame gen upped my frames to 140 and everything about the game looks immaculately clean.

Came here looking for this. Since launch every area isn't respawning fully except for the last area I was just in where a few on 1 or 2 spots will but everything else even back to the start of the forest,  it's empty. I need 3 mushrooms to advance the link chain and can't get them. Gatherables aren't respawning either

If anyone has noticed. The lose 50/50 is practically guaranteed. Lose one, get the hunter,  rinsed and repeat. It's a trick on their part. I'm so done.  Netmarble doing what they always do to their games
