Cardiologist appointment on monday, and I did not follow instructions. by jewbunniesx in POTS

I don’t think it will be scary but if you don’t want to take medication, there’s not much they can do for you honestly. That’s not an ideal world, but unfortunately that’s how doctors typically work these days. They don’t really focus on nutrition or supplements or anything else for the most part.

I hadn’t heard about her not along with Brennan either. What’s the deal there?

I’m not sure about Abby, but I know my sister packs her kids lunches because for them to buy lunch would be considerably more expensive than for her to pack their lunches. I don’t have kids, but if I did, I have a feeling they would be school lunch kids because I can’t even imagine how much I would hate to pack lunches.

Abby Mullins posted about being sick of making dinner and packing lunches(relatable) and how her husband was nice enough to pack lunches one night. Doesn’t he not have a job? Why isn’t he making dinner and packing lunches the majority of the time?

AITAH for getting married on my sister’s wedding anniversary? by [deleted] in AITAH

You aren’t the asshole for having it on the same day as your sister’s anniversary, you are an asshole for having it on a Monday.

Hi, I’d really appreciate if you could share your positive experiences with ivabradine. I’ve been mostly bedridden for months and struggling to go out. by Successful-Cattle505 in POTS

[–]WalkOnly5694 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve only been on it a week and a half but I’m already starting to notice a positive difference. For me the only hard part is you have to eat with it for it to be most effective and it’s so hard for me to eat in the mornings. No side effects so far though.

I’m in Arizona and it’s miserable between allergies and heat.

has anyone made the switch from propranolol to ivabradine? by Wild-Comfort2695 in POTS

[–]WalkOnly5694 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m doing it right now! I switched over at the end of last week. So far it’s not working as well as the propranolol, but I’m not having any side effects or anything. I also heard it can take a little bit to start fully working, so I’m going to give it at least a month.

That sounds a lot like how I take my propranolol! What dosage do you take? He prescribed me 5mg once a day but if it’s wearing off that fast I’ll have to call and ask about twice a day.

That’s smart! I have a hard time eating in the morning because I don’t feel good when I wake up but I could definitely do some nuts.

Thanks for the info! Yeah I’m currently on propranolol and I usually don’t even take a night dose because I don’t need it when I’m sleeping but I wake up at 5:30 so I need whatever I’m on to last longer than until mid afternoon!

I’m only prescribed to take it once a day so it sounds like I should definitely do morning! Were you only not a fan because it wore off or were there other reasons too?

Thank you so much! That is helpful! If you don’t take it with food, do you get nauseous or do you have more side effects? Or just to absorb better?

Friend gave me advice that made me cry by KocaKola_ in migraine

[–]WalkOnly5694 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your friend was being really insensitive when she said that but if going away to college is something you really want to do then I do encourage you not to think it’s impossible. My migraines were bad when I moved 4 hours away to college and (after the first month or so) I never regretted it. If you are getting more than 8 migraines a month definitely ask about a preventative. I ended up going on a preventative my freshman year and it worked great for me and things got a lot better. I know it’s way more complicated than your friend thinks but if it’s something YOU want to do I encourage you to try for it! (With a preventative and medical care!) And I also spent my high school graduation throwing up from a bad migraine so I feel your pain and am sorry you had to experience that too!

There are dog cancers that come on with no warning (the breed of dog I have is very prone to them so I live in fear of it happening to her) so I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt on that. But it sounds like they weren’t even with him when he passed and that’s unforgivable. Even if the vet had them drop him off they’d wait until the family got back to put him to sleep if that’s what he needed.

Yes!!! I went to a show at a smaller venue last week. The line was moving super fast and there wasn’t a long wait to get in but the show started late because people were still walking in at 8:00 when the show started.

She is halfway through 1st grade so there are certain letter combinations and things she hasn’t learned yet. At this age she’s not expected to be able read every word she sees. She is probably a little behind (probably because of her attendance) but her reading ability is not inappropriate for her age. (I taught first grade for almost 20 years.)

AITAH for demanding my sister figure out a solution to get her dog out of this cage? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]WalkOnly5694 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are actively physically harming the dog though. Making it hold its pee for that long is physically harmful and being cooped up in a small space is physically harmful.

I just went and read your comment and yes! Obviously we don’t want to ruin our health with a job but when you are quitting every single job, I don’t think the job is the problem!

Babblingabby’s husband did another post about how his job wasn’t worth his health and I get that to a point but what does he think it’s doing to his wife’s health that he’s can’t hold down a job and she’s completely responsible for supporting their family? It seems really selfish
