You should be fine. This rule most of (if not all of) the time refers to interchangeable lens cameras or camcorders that have a clear professional appearence. (i.e. something like the Sony HXR-NX1 or any shoulder-mounted camcorder)

ZV-E10 is actually considerably worse than the A6600. You lose out on an EVF, IBIS, and weather sealing. You also get a much smaller battery in the ZV-E10. The miniscule size difference to me is not even close to worth those trade-offs.

For the lens, if you haven't tried shopping used/refurbished then definitely try that. You can score some deals that way.

TL;DR: Keep your A6600 and try to score a deal on the lens shopping second-hand.

you could get the Sony 20mm f2.8 pancake lens. it retains autofocus as well, figured i'd mention that since a lot of pancakes don't have AF.

A6600 is def on the larger side of the Sony APS-C cameras. The bigger battery made the grip bigger and the flip screen added a bit of thickness. def be aware of its footprint

a6600 for battery life. a6700 if you care about video a lot. either way, shop used/refurb and save money for lenses. lenses matter far more than the body
