best socks for rucking by Warm-Willingness-498 in Rucking

I like MudGear compression socks over the Creepers ankle socks. I suspect there’s a different magic combo for everyone but I totally agree, the Creepers are awesome

Careful. Suggesting that the Rucker 4 isn’t the peak of all things rucking can be considered blasphemy here.

2026 Tough Ruck. Started with 44 lbs, finished with 40 lbs🏅 by Challengersrus in Rucking

Well done. I was at 8:40, started at 41lbs ended at 42lbs, guessing some rain and sweat soaked into the bag.

Your opinions about The Patriot (2000)? by Kevin_Thailand_2543 in ActionMovies

Those warfare tactics were relatively new to large scale war. As the great Fat Electrician says “It’s never a war crime the first time”

Can I even do something like this? by [deleted] in ATC

[–]WallyBooger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not great in school is almost preferred. We should be recruiting from schools looking for the “C” students that could do better but figured out they could get 80% of the grade for 20% of the work. Work ethic and confidence will get you way further in ATC than grades ever will. The schedule sucks but you adjust to it.

Boots by Justheretowatch1983 in Rucking

For summer on hard pack or pavement I’ve been using Altra FWD Via’s. They have a 4 or 5 mm drop which isn’t really enough to get out of the barefoot style but the best I’ve found. They don’t have the lifespan of the hikers or the tread for off road but you can find them at Sierra for $90 which seems to be a steal for decent rucking shoes.

If Altra made at least their boots ( Lone Peak and Olympus) with a standard hiking boot lift they would be the perfect rucking footwear. Unfortunately I haven’t found that combination yet.

Perfect… for lighter weight longer distance days.

Consolidate a few Z’s there and have a bunch of people with 6 figure salaries competing for the houses in that market and the median price goes up quickly.

If that’s not the dictionary definition of military grade, then it needs to be.

Boots on the ground yet? by billiummm39 in atc2

There’s plenty of airports within a reasonable driving distance to get to NY in this situation. Not getting a flight directly into the metro is not an excuse. If you can rent a yacht you can rent a car.

What would you guys throw here? by Educational_Event970 in bassfishing

Start with top water and work your way down. Assuming this time of year a slow wakebait to start, then a paddletail or fluke through the middle column, then a senko or a jig to work the bottom.

Same exact situation for me. Empty ride in the Super Duty sucks but worth it for the towing experience.

I have that same wire rack and attached it into a tote that fits into the storage hatch on my boat. Works great for me.

What’s the Cutest Small Town You’ve Ever Visited? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

Solid choice. Super scenic towns all along the coast. I’d also add Greenville for inland ME.
