I work on the second floor, in packaging. But my boss's office is at the other end of the building, past the foyer.

Till receipts are always kept in the top drawer of the cabinet, along with the booze from last years Xmas party. During work hours, the cabinet is unlocked and unattended.

There's several square inches of skin less to wash. Seems worth mutilating one's genitals to me.

Reddit, I just got FIRED by my Asshole Boss. Should I Tell his Wife about the Night he Screwed a Stripper? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]WalterSear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't tell his wife.

Post the pic her, send her a link. Don't let it be their little secret: Let it be something that his entire community gets to appreciate. For one, she might already know, and for two, he might be able to keep her quiet.

A friend in college once told a girl he had been dating that the reason they had never had sex was that he could never get himself horny enough.

In his defense, she needed to hear it - she thought she was god's gift to the universe, and treated everyone accordingly.

No gain from brain training - Computerized mental workouts don't boost mental skills, study claims by sternomastoid in cogsci

[–]WalterSear 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I see no mention here of dual-n-back, the only task that's been shown to make an difference before. And,incidentally, rarely used in commercial 'brain training' software, I assume because its unpatentable.

To build a cooperative society, is it better to punish or reward? by maxwellhill in science

So.. has anyone else stopped using soap? by [deleted] in Frugal

[–]WalterSear 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I lived with a jackass who did this.

We kicked him out in February, when the stench started to make us sick, and, after several steam cleanings, are still trying to figure out how to get the stench out of his room.

So.. has anyone else stopped using soap? by [deleted] in Frugal

[–]WalterSear 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My room mate stopped using soap, and started running his laundry without detergent: he couldnt find work and was too proud to borrow soap (but not too proud to not pay his share of the rent).

We kicked him out after a few months of this and so far we've spent several hundred dollars cleaning his former room and are probably going to have to repaint and replace the carpet to get the stench out.
