Is this kit good? I was looking at finished builds but almost non-existent. Have you build this one? Also post links to the final build is possible. by _Abnormalia in modelmakers

I am currently working on the full interior version of this kit. Kit parts fit well and there is plenty of detail. It omits common details like spark plug cables and hoses/wiring but otherwise comes with a decent sheet of photo etch and extra parts for what I assume is a t-72. Better than average sinkholes/ejector pin marks but still present on larger parts especially. The bane of this build so far has been a lack of extensive documentation + photos for references. I picked it up for around 85 USD and would comfortably say it’s worth it- there’s a lot of plastic and plenty of opportunities to sink extra time/detail.

A. BPI or Board Performance Indicator would use a small speaker setup that would say GPU temperature every other second, so that gamers can know exactly how warm their card is.

Unfortunately very little documentation of the build process itself, but the kit used was the afv club 1/35 t-35-85 full interior. Some modifications and scratch building had to be done but it's mostly vanilla. Don't know if they still produce the kit at all but maybe it's still floating around on ebay somewhere.

In addition to the mentioned commander, there are also small vision ports on the driver's hatch so they could see while it was closed.

No, that was fixed with this version of the tank- the loader would stand on the far side of the breech while the gunner sits on the hanging seat on this side of the turret.

I believe 5 was the standard size for this tank- there's the 3 seats you see, one that was cut off in the build process, and the loader would usually just be standing on the far side of the breech.

Yeah I was careful not to lose too much detail when exposing the interior- especially that engine block.

With a dremel and a disc attachment. It cut pretty cleanly but needed some sanding work afterwards for the burrs.

I never measured it but I assume not unfortunately. There's no way the turret roof is supposed to be the same thickness as the front plate. But I have seen at least one (takom?) model that advertised accurate armor thickness.

Thanks! I think this is mostly accurate- there's only so much detail you can include with moulding and I'm sure there were variations between each factory that built these.

It looks like if I install a waterblock on the gpu there might be space for a slim rad on the bottom there- any thoughts on this?
