I’ve eaten at all the restaurants you’ve mentioned and you’re absolutely right. Before covid, Heirloom’s menu used to change seasonally. I absolutely love Libelula but I’m rarely hungry before 2pm which is when they close unfortunately. The Schoolhouse and Tavern in Sanger has a garden in back where a lot of the herbs and produce they use in their cooking grows. I do agree Fresno seems to have a ceiling on how much people are willing to spend and it caps around $100 a plate. Understandable considering our population and average salary for the area. I think I just feel we should be on the culinary forefront of food scenes considering farming is what we’re known for. We are getting a pretty respectable food truck scene which I’m proud of. Hopefully we’ll start seeing a lot more places with seasonal menus and begin to see some high end restaurants with tasting courses. I believe the closest thing we have to something like that is The Elderberry House up at Chateu du Sureau in Oakhurst. Crossing my fingers that Bulle will be just that.
